5:26 All the demon primarchs actually do not have the titanic keyword, so this would not affect them at all.

One thing to notice, is that none of the Primarchs is Titanic, the shoot and do actions on Titanic Characters almost exclusively (or completely) impacts Imperial/Chaos Knights, which imo is fine, since they where absolutely horrible in pretty much any mission that was build around doing actions. This helps a little overall, at least big shooty ones can do stuff while remaining on the back, however, this doesnt help the melee ones still, and with the new deployment zones being closer and focused on melee, and how awful big knights are on melee (3+ saves no invulv besides Lancer) yeah, i dont think we will see many of those around (even less than now)

It felt wierd, that a full unit couldnt do an objective, but you toss 1 model an assault pistol and suddenly they can all do it.

A solution to secret missions in tournaments could be as simple as having a pack of envelopes sitting somewhere convenient. If someone's gonna do a secret mission they seal their card in an envelope and it's only opened at the end of the game then there's no question about what's what if people swapped or looked or whatever

That’s not a bad idea, however a player wouldn’t be able to look at the card later if they need to remember or look up how the rules work exactly.

Taurox's could see a big come-up with the new changes especially with Catachan's as you scout, then can disembark after the Taurox has advanced and only count as doing a normal move. So you can shoot forward, disembark and still do actions for secondaries. Though they need to make core changes to a lot of armies. Like Deathwing makes Deathwing terminators battleline etc as this really hurts people who want to play fluffier style lists.

I'd be fine if they just went and did a quick points update to the OC 0 units, and left the rest as it is. Or better yet, make the OC0 units free, for each battle line unit you have, or let them be "summoned" from reserves with a strat, so things like Nurgling, Scarabs, Fenrisian Wolves etc. won't be completely useless.

@ProxyHammer1 reinforcements plus rapid ingress my friend. Also I think controlling your opponents home objective with an autarch wayleaper Warlord (especially if you still have the pheonix gem) could be very very doable.

Sorry Mordian, I think your take is bad on the Knights Titantic thing. IG can take a 55 or 30 point unit to perform an action. Knights would have to use an Armiger at 140 points. Knights have in general, less pieces on the board to play with. So their pieces being able to do more is fair.

Yup, the keywords make a huge difference here. This isn't going to change anything with armigers. It's more aimed at the big knights that can be in excess of 500 points. I've given up with 10th, but atleast GW are trying with the stompy robots after nerfing them pretty hard

The new deployment zones are only annoying because they’re measured from the table edge, instead of the table centre. Which is fine if you have the correct board size, but those of us who still play on 6x4, 4x4, or even just your average dining room table, will have to do some maths to work out what we’re actually supposed to be measuring to achieve the same no man’s land.

About Titanic character unit doing actions: @MordianGlory : IK has 3 only types of units and no cheap units to do actions, Guard has plenty of cheap units to do actions in place of a Baneblade so i think It's just right.

I believe the hydra is about to become meta, with now units can’t advance and do actions fast moving units that can get around terrain so fly units will now be required, Basilisks to slow down units, Hydra’s to blow them away.

I see no issues with secret mission. You bring a small box that you can drop the card in and the box can be hiden in the open. Noone can sneak a peak and the oponent can open the box at the end. If your oponent refuse to drop the card in the box and me to open it at the end I would start to look carefully at every dice they roll. Forcing them to roll where every dice is clearlt vissable to me and so on.

One other thing with this shift to focus on battleline units is that that's a lot more of the enemy's army that's going to be able to be hurt more effectively by lighter artillery like mortars and Bombast field guns.

I 100% agree about the secret missions. Secret missions will also make it so that siting back in your deployment zone with a good gun line is an easy guaranteed win. Shooty guard, tau and Eldar will be mathematically unbeatable (as in just concede and save us 3 hours) if your army is melee based.

Hey Mordian. I find your take for the Secret Missions interesting because i play also Malifaux where Secret Missions a Key Feature of the system. In Malifaux it is no Problem because everyone tracks their games with an App from the makers of the system (Wyrd) and you pick your Missions in the App and they are revealed at the end of the game for both players. There should be an easy fix for things like that in 40k. I dont think GW will deliver a solution for that because they are in the same digitalisation status as german authorities. I find the Secret Mission system kinda nice (a lot more useful as Gambits) and it would be sad if it got wasted again.

They try to incentivize battleline more as opposed to force it. Imo GW tries to make the game playable for casuals as much as possible, hence why „you need one warlord“ is the only forced slot remaining. So casuals can basically just stuff their favorite (or only) units into a list and play.

I doubt guard tanks are going to go up. Not Battleline... yet.. and there are better units, for cheaper, in the game. Guard are not performing better after the recent points changes. I could see the Scions going up a bit, just because they can be Battleline.
