I just purchased the silver model. It’s of no surprise it has misaligned bezel and chapter ring. I come to expect it with every Seiko I buy.

I purchased the SNJ037 and the bezel was out of alignment. I returned it. It’s too bad Seiko has such poor QC at this price point.

At this price point, I expect a radio controlled watch. Citizen can do it, Casio offers atomic precision for far less. I do like this watch, I owned the green “Safarnie “ from the previous generation for a while and it was a fun watch. I wore mine on a MN strap, olive drab with a small red line and gunmetal hardware. Seriously cool combo. These new ones look very good, but comfort wise it won’t work for me. Those giant pushers have a tendency to get irritating after a while, especially the right top one, as it digs into my wrist bone. The previous generation had the pushers on the left, that worked fine for me.

The PADI in safari mode (hands, indicators) would be a #1 watch to me. I'm a bit confused about changing my #1 watch to be more than once and could accept the safari model for less money.

As I new to collecting Seiko watches I would like to know that if I get a new Seiko Arnie do you wear it and appropriate it or like collector's do you keep it in its box to save damage and maybe depreciation.

I wear all my watches very often but I like to take good care of them. I try to avoid unnecessary damage. In the gym I wear a cheap casio or a resin g-shock. However, it really depends on you and what makes you happy. I know people who enjoy having them in their boxes and just admire them at home while others wear them anywhere, anytime and don't mind banging them against anything. I stay somewhere in the middle.

The Arnold Encyclopedia in the background is very fitting and a tasteful touch which invokes my Teenage memories in the 90's when I adored Arnold's Training regiment. All in all, the SNJ033 is my favorite. Great presentation 👏👌👍. Keep it up bro. Cheers!

Hi Rafael, thank you for your comment. I wouldn't say it will easily scratch but at some point it will. It really depends in what situations and how often you wear it. That being said I've seen pvd watches that are all scratched up and they have a charm of their own. It may not be of much help but perhaps you can buy a cheap pvd watch for 50 bucks and wear the heck out of it for a couple of weeks and see how it holds up. That will give you an idea.

Does this feature an ascent alarm? If so can you please point me to a manual which mentions that? Because I tried to find it, that feature is a deal breaker for me and I want to confirm it.

Hi, yes it does. I just checked the manual. If you go to "How to use the diving mode" after point 5 you will find a Caution warning which says the following: "Rapid ascent warning display If the watch detects a rapid ascent during a dive, the digital display will show “SLOW”. An alarm tone will sound during the rapid ascent warning. Even if ascent speed decreases, the alarm tone will continue to sound for the next four seconds".

@@TheBoldHairspring Oh no lol, I really wanted this watch but most Japanese watch makers do this, if there is a depth gauge there is an ascent alarm that CANNOT be disabled. Really inconsiderate for the sport of Freediving. The only analogue movements I saw without an audible ascent alarm is the quad sensor Gshock Gulfmaster and the Tissot Sea Touch. If you know of any others please let me know, and thank you again for the valuable info.

In the USA 🇺🇸 These TUNA Iterations are going for roughly $350 to $450 in the Gray market. Understably, things are waaaaay cheaper here in the USA 🇺🇸 Than the rest of the world- not sure why. I buy and flip watches and the vast majority of the buyers who have bought from me on Ebay are usually from Europe and the Middle East. I recently sold an SKX to a buyer in Belgium. For you guys abroad you might want to buy from US Sellers or AMAZON USA..... Save lots of $$$$$$

The PADI model looks the best but a plastic shroud and hardlex crystal is lousy at this pricepoint. The plastic shrouds put me off the entire Arnie line-up.

The quality of a product is all that matters. Not where it is built. China will happily build products to any price point and they only have a reputation for manufacturing cheap pap because that's what most Western companies task them to do! iDon't forget that iPhones, iPads and MacBooks are all made in China.
