They are not random. Red chests have a greater chance of an orange weapon than silver chests in the original game. The Game of the Yr Edition changed some red chests to silver chests in New Haven for example but the two old red chests throw up legendaries while the easily attainable chest near the vending machine has never given me a legendary (orange). The harder it is to reach a chest favours finding better loot.

5:48 you said that all loot chests have a random allocation of weapons so you can’t loot certain boxes to expect more legendaries. Not true. I am playing the first edition Borderlands, in New Haven there are two red chests and two silver ones (excluding the chest in cellar Easter Egg during the Trash Coast mission). The silver chest near the vending machine has never given me a legendary, the silver box on top of the building above Big Tony’s shop has given me 1 legendary, the other two chests are red and both give up a legendary about every 20 openings. The harder the chest is to find the greater chance of a legendary. My first exploration at the very bottom of the Trash Coast which is protected by a huge number of Spider Crabs found a red chest near the water’s edge and it had two Orange (legendary) weapons. The next raid had a purple and a blue.

The build and parts must make a difference in BL1. This is all the more obvious in BL2. In BL1, right now I have three Hellfire in BL1, each prefixed differently as: TD12 High, TD52 B Higher and TD2 C Very High.

I have an idea what you could do for a new sires in the future. Feel free to dine this at any time you want. you should compare the weapons in borderlands to the returning weapons from borderlands in borderlands 2. (For example the Hellfire from Borderlands v.s the Hellfire from Borderlands 2). You can compare both weapons to see which one is better or see what changes they made to the new one instead of the old one, you know stuff like that. Not only that a few weapons in Borderlands 2 returned from Borderlands like the Butcher, Skullmasher, Volcano, Hornet, Boneshredder, Unforgiven, Wave, Invader, Striker, Elephant gun, and so on.

I thought I have already got the best Hellfire in the game but your hellfire is even better MUCH better. My has 193 Damage and only a 8,3 fire rate!!! Man know I want a hellfire LIKE YOURS!!! ;-) THis wepaon is awesome but it is also very common. I got one in EVERY Armory farming sometimes even 4 by one run!!! It is like the Volcano so common. But anyway. THIS BEAST ROCKS!!! We don't need no water let the mo.....er burn!!! BURN MoFo, Burn!!! :-D I have a SMG - Collection with all Elementary Effects. I got a corrosive that is very similar to the Hellfire. Only 149 damage but that thing is also a BEAST!!! And I've found a DOUBLE SAVIOR in my last run!!! This thing is also a freaking amazing gun! Love your videos. Since yet I have only played Borderlnads One. Single with Lilith and Coop with my friend as Roland (my buddy is Mordecai) both lvl 69. And now I am farming for a pearl but it is so frustrating!!! 30 armory runs and still nothing. I have found a Undertaker in the mission with the Lost Chests and the Lancer. In the LAST ONE!!! But after that the chests are gone!!! That sucks. Wish me luck buddy!! I want a Tsunami!!!! ;-)
