Another tip I got from someone early on in my hair journey was to keep a journal. So I started a journal on my iphone. What I would record is the date and the products that I used, then I would add additional comments after as to how I like the products and how good the wng turned out. Was it a failure or was it a success? This was really helpful because I could see what my hair really liked or what it didn’t like, or what worked better in my hair, what techniques worked well, such as brush styling or just raking or scrunching. As a matter of fact, I still do that today, which is almost 10 years later. With natural hair there is always something to learn. Thank you for your advice and your hair is beautiful as always.

It is SOOOOOOOOOOOO freeing when you find your combo!! My wash days are so short and sweet. I use the Doux 808 base gel and mousse def together and my hair has never been better!! Ladies, find your combo!! You will be so happy and spend less money. Also, where did you get that cape???

Obsessed with the same brush and it takes me no time to detangle my entire head. Never was afraid to shampoo but I was a part of the scalp only shampooing🤦🏽‍♀️

Where can we find the beige hair cape you're wearing? ❤ Less has been more for me too. Trimming and clarifying regularly, double shampooing and wearing gel only wash and go's have my hair more defined and hydrated than ever. Deep conditioners penetrate better. Styling in the shower has also been a game changer. My hair needs the water weight.

The fear of shampoo was so real! The way I did my hair in college was atrocious. 😂 I used Co wash followed by scrunching in cream with my hair upside down. Air drying because we were afraid of heat 😅No wonder I had build up.

been watching since your move to the US! love watching your hair + personal journey! i have been finger detangling for a couple of years now because I was so tired of other brushes ripping my hair out so i just ordered the brush you mentioned and I cannot wait for it to arrive! i co-sign the filtered shower head advice! i've had my jolie for a little over a year now and it was the best investment, for sure! I also fill up my spray bottle with the filtered water from the shower head only lol

I definitely remember every one co-washing all the time. I remember watching this seasoned stylist on KZbin. She kept saying that you should wash your hair, co-washing was not good for your hair. So I got away from co-washing and started washing my hair with shampoo. I believe when devacurl was having their issues with people saying their hair was falling out, I believe it’s because they were co-washing all the time and not washing their hair. Healthy hair starts at the scalp, if your scalp is clogged up because you did not properly wash it then there’s a good possibility you’re gonna have some hair problems. And I think that’s what happened with the Deva Curl fiasco.
