Robert, I wanted to thank you for making this video. I, like you, thought of returning my TV (exactly the one you have) because it was stuck on that Roku setup screen and I couldn't set up my xfinity cable. I couldn't get the TV to talk to my cable remote or get the channels or see the channel guide. After an hour on the phone with the Comcast support team, I looked and I found your video. So I did what you did, I went back and signed in again, and it worked the second time. Then, just so you know, I went through the "Antenna TV" section (?) (weird name) to find my cable channels. Strange UX, but you can find the cable channels that way (not through HDMI 1 or 2, which don't work for just the standard cable box [at least they didn't for me]). I selected the option that required channels 3 & 4, then it searched for cable channels, and they all showed up and the remote was synced. Thanks again.

Just wondering if the register receipt tape was thermal? If it is thermal, it may totally fade out over time due to the heat eminating from the flat screen to which it is attached. I have lost a few LKQ receipts that I kept in the console of my car. Just food for thought.

I recently just bought a Sharp Model LC-24LB601U Rev.A television at Best Buy. They seemed to not be able to help me with this question. I have the TV hooked to a Wally Satellite Receiver via the HDMI input 1 on the TV. Every time i turn on the tv i have to use the TV Remote to switch it over to the HDMI Input that the tv is hooked to. MY question is, is there a setting or a way so that when i use the Wally Remote power button to turn the tv on and it automatically is tuned to the HDMI input? Without having to find the tv remote and switch it over.

Hi, Where do you get additional apps from? Because Samsung has an app store, so I don't know if you can get apps from any of the app sites? I want to get a firefox app so I can use a browser, I saw a picture of a TCL roku tv and in the picture showed a shot of the apps on it and there was one for firefox.

I don't think so. I couldn't find anything to state that it does. I read that you can get a Roku stick and hook up regular headphones and listen to the TV that way but I wouldn't know if it would work on my TV. I do have an "audio out" plug in on the back of the tv

I seen that on my set as well. If your headset is bluetooth you can connect it to your TV through a Bluetooth head phone adapter. I have gotten those from eBay for my car. Did not like the quality 4 years ago, maybe it's better now.

I am not sure but I would connect my audio receiver to the coaxial audio out connection or to the headphone out connection with a 3.5mm dongle to rca connection on your receiver if you don't have coaxial connection on your Pioneer stereo receiver. Most stereo receivers do have the coaxial audio out connection. cable would cost you about $10. I do not have a Pioneer receiver but I have a ZVOX sound bar and this is how it sets up for me.

Nice replacement tv robert :-D, a bit of messing around to get it set up but apart from setting your colour/brightness/contrast/sound settings its done :-D. . I often get called into neighbours houses to re-setup there tv after a power glitch or they just messed it up, the instructions are long gone lol, so its a few mins to find the settings menu and re-scan the freeview channels back in. The real fun is when they have a scart connector dvd player and the tv dont do scart, so hard to explain :-(

I found it! It's under setting I think. It's hard to find. But there is a place where it says "power on to" and the default is home page. Select the tv for the "power on to" and it will go automatically to the tv!!! My son had set it this way for my grandma and encouraged me to keep looking. My grandma is 100, so it's too hard for her to "catch on" unfortunately. Give it a try--I'm sure your wife will appreciate it! :)

The input lag on the TV is actually decent for gaming, and it was reviewed by cnet. The 60hz is acceptable for console gaming, PC is another story.

Had this TV for goin on a month now and I absolutely love it! So happy to "cut the cord" All i need is my Hulu & Netflix accounts and TV connects directly to my internet. I did notice the playa move with Roku trying to trick you in signing up for an account. Turning off an on again took care of that. LOVE IT!

You can watch regular TV if you are wired to a cable or antenna, you can watch Roku if you have wifi. or if you have Satellite TV you can watch that too.

Pretty good. The remote sucks a little, no channel button to channel jump or last button to return to the last channel, but I use my Harmony remote to overcome those shortfalls.

Roku smart TV operating system does not have an Internet browser to enable visiting your choice of Internet address. Can not download a browser app such as Chrome, Firefox, Opera. LG TV have WebOS as operating system with browser called WebBrowser. Android operating system may be desirable as can download apps from Google Play store.

I bought the Sharp 50" with Roku. After 30 days the it quit connecting with the internet. Sharp was a Japanese company. They sold their American sales to Hisense, a Chinese Company. Hisense strung me along for 2 months. They sent two WIFI boards to me and sent a tech to install them twice. Still no WIFI connection. During that period, they lost my case, mixed up my contact information, made promises to call back and then didn't. Hisense is a joke. Do not buy anything from them. You would be better off buying a "dumb" TV and buying a Roku box. That is a better option than dealing with a predatory company like Hisense.

i just sharpie the date on my batteries.........then I know how long they have been in their location....... .....smart TV means it know what YOUR doing or watching .............but whos reading that data ? ..........also the higher faster flash or ( flicker ) rate on these TV's induce a trans like state when watching unlike the old tube type ones... ....the tube ones needed a good program (that word means something) message to keep you watching now most people just watch a TV program and couldn't tell you any thing about it a few weeks later..... ......the old ONE world (from that old black book no one now likes) is now coming into view....................kinda weird ................
