⁠@@enzithesuccubus1072basically there’s two types of shifter knobs, h pattern a sequential because you need to grip it differently for both. H pattern are usually round, and sequential is a tall cylinder. You may want to switch between them, and not damage the logo

I like how 70$ is affordable these days. I bought my shifter for 22$, but Amazon screwed up and never sent it, and wouldn't give me my money back, claiming it had been delivered with proof. I ended up being donated one from a friend who also paid like 30$ for it.

@@Australiaisupsidedown Logitech's Shifter is 60$ now? Wow. That's just atrocious. The one I have was 30$ new. Honestly for what it is that's all it's worth. If the choice is between I'd get the TH8S. Better compatibility options for the future. But I don't see either of those products as being reasonable at those price points. But if they're the most affordable options, then what does that say? Price points in this hobby rocketed up around 2019 and haven't come back down. Logitech is selling the same wheel that used to cost 130$ for 300$ now, with a 20$ shifter with less features for 60$. It sucks.

@@Australiaisupsidedownhaving used both, whilst the thrustmaster is $10 more, you’ll want it more trust me. It’s sucks being limited to driving cars that are only 6 speeds with the Logitech, so having atleast up to 7 speeds is pretty nice. Even if it’s not much more. The reverse is also alo better for the thrustmaster. It’s just easier to be honest. Then if you wanna use the Logitech with a non Logitech wheel you have to buy an adapter. Having used both they are both pretty nice. The Logitech looks nicer, but the thrustmaster feels nicer imo. Overall thrustmaster for me

I had the th8a it's a beautiful shifter but doesn't feel much better than the Logitech shifter so I went and got the Moza hgp shifter for 150 it feels like a real gated transmission is incredible who cares if it does sequential mode it feels that good and it's built like a absolute tank

You can remove it. You just have to pop the top and the the Philips that's in the knob. And also you can change the tension of the shifter with a flat head by turning it clockwise and counter clockwise by the hole on the right side of the shifter

I don't know on USA. But on EU the TH8A is allways been around 150€ since is became a stand alone product out of the T500 bundle. This TH8S is around 70€ and it seems a good option out of the Logitech and PXN shifter (actually the Logi one need a 20€ more for adapter on PC). The only thing I concern is the missing holes for mounting.

To remove the knob just remove the top cap (the one with the thrustmaster logo) using a flathead screwdriver (theres a slot below the cap) and then its a philipshead screw.

Got this about 2 weeks ago and I love it way better than the shifter I had before that was almost the same price, unfortunately my package didn’t bring the cable to directly connect it to my wheel instead I got 2 usb c cables which is weird and I’m guessing it was a flaw but it’s alright I use pc anyways so it doesn’t really matter

Knob is removable, you take off the top plastic piece / plating and there is a star shaped screw holding on the knob to the rod.

The chinese pc exclusive shifters are made of metal completely, have a 2kg resistance on shifts and works brilliantly. 7 speed with reverse at it's cheapest is 65 bucks. Not spending that money on a plastic thing that breaks if you do one slightly aggressive shift.

Honestly when I saw this i was kinda upset cause I spent $150 on a thrustmaster th8a shifter but honestly my th8a has treated me well so I not so disappointed anymore considering that one is all plastic like my old logitech shifter that broke after 1 week being brand new.

I think the Ali Shifters are better than this and you can get them now for about 35€ (40-45$ US), so I think this shifter is pretty useless now. Would love a comparison with this lower pricetag in mind.

It will not plug directly into the G29, so If your using a console (Xbox or PlayStation) it will now work. If you’re playing on computer, it will work with a G29 as you will simply plug the shifter into the computers USB slot, not directly into the wheel.
