I love that new Curado rod. I got the 6’10 and it’s been awesome paired up with the Curado 151.

How about your frog rod ? The Curado Hvy ? Thanks for sharing these rods...
@FishinMitch2 жыл бұрын
The Curado Heavy could definitely be a solid frog rod! I have an Expride 7'3 XH that is my dedicated frogging rod (and punching, which I rarely do).

I ordered the 7” Medium Expride B. Do you think this will be good for senkos? What else will it be good at? Will it be light as a feather and sensitive, and good enough to catch some big bass?
@FishinMitch2 жыл бұрын
The 7' Medium is the "do anything" spinning rod, it's perfect for senkos but will also be great for drop shots, shaky heads, Ned rigs, finesse jigs and light Texas rigs. The Expride line is known for its great sensitivity and light weight, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Looooooove my zodias 75 heavy amazing verrrry sensitive and so strong absolutely love throwing a 1/2 oz jig with a bandito big trailer and setting the hook so much leverage
@FishinMitch2 жыл бұрын
It's a sick rod for sure! I do everything from throwing big Texas rigs and shaky head worms to punching with it.

Hey dude great video, quick question for you. If I already have a 7' M/H mojo bass rod, would I be better off getting the medium 7'2" curado rod? I was about to pull the trigger on the medium heavy version but I was thinking maybe it's a waste of money having 2 of the same rod. & what would a flexier medium action rod be very good at?

What did you end up getting
@joshs3905 Жыл бұрын
@@fairladyz9957 I got a 7' medium fast action curado rod to go with the DC reel. It's been great so far, using it exclusively for finessing with light to medium topwater lures. I can definitely feel less strength in the rod compared to medium heavy but when I have a fish on the flex is nicer and more satisfying, I feel I have more control over the fish
@TheSonoranDesertGrower Жыл бұрын
@@joshs3905I use a medium power fast action for top water treble baits, jerkbaits, shallow crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, drop shots, shaky heads, small weightless plastics, small swimbaits, small spinnerbaits, small chatterbaits, and on and on.

6'10 expride is my favorite jerkbait rod paired with a alderbaren 50 mgl. It's so light and responsive, it's unbelievable. Mater of fact I just caught a 7lb walleye on it fishing a vision 110 this past Saturday. Handled that fish so well. U won't b disappointed
@FishinMitch2 жыл бұрын
It's awesome so far! Only problem I'm having is that I'm short at 5'7, so the rod tip slaps the water if I'm not careful
@chrishaynes22822 жыл бұрын
I know the feeling. I'm only 5'8 n fish from bank or kayak but it works out great for me. It's a sweet rod tho. I fish all kinds of different techniques with it. Anything from small 1/4 ounce swim jigs with keitech to blade baits,jerk baits, even dropshots from time to time. Very universal sensitive rod crisp rod.

Hey there, Mitch. have you any thoughts thus far as to how the Curado compares to the Zodias? Thanks! Zach
@FishinMitch2 жыл бұрын
Hi! I've only had one trip out on the water with the Curado rods so far. Dragging a jig was the the 7'2 Heavy and throwing a Dark Sleeper with the 7'2 Medium. They both feel great in hand and are fairly sensitive. Using 15# fluoro I was able to feel exactly when the bottom transitioned from sand to small rocks while dragging a jig. I'm impressed so far, but I also haven't boated any fish with them yet so that's as much as I'm comfortable saying!
@davidvanmaanen-icperch27972 жыл бұрын
Expride is much more stiff and designed for different purposes. The curado rods have a moderate action, perfect for lures with trebles such as cranks, spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. Apples and peaches. I holded the 6”10 of both last week and also the zodias. Zodias is more comparable and an option for jerkbaits.
