Where and how did you play? Rates were down for sure but if you play in a park/downtown area and move around I just can’t figure how getting 0 is possible. Sucks it happened but if you watch how the YTers play they’re moving and checking not just sitting and catching everything. I personally feel some of the low shiny numbers are partial due to style of play vs RNG

@@brunkad i play in a downtown park with over 50 stops and multiple gyms. Got zero shinies the first day and only 5 on day 2. None of which were even new shinies. I saw one shiny on day one, a pilachu, but my gf had it run away while i was driving. One ball and it ran. I kept moving the whole time minus some resting for raids and eating. So i dont really think style of play is the issue. I think its some accts got a ton where others just got screwed.

@@brunkad Im from NY and I didn't even go to Seattle I bought a ticket and got 8 shinys the first day and only 3 on the 2nd and 2 shinys from pokemon that where in the wild when the event stopped at 6 and got 3 shiny raid bosses which is Groudon and also stellix which was almost a heart attack moment and I got a 3000cp hundo kyorge and druddigon and Snorlax shiny too sorry that was the only 3 shiny I got shiny Gyarados 2986cp not from go fest from before also shiny wailord wailmer shiny clearify shiny eggecutor tall one and regular shiny lycanroc shiny Karablast shiny bronzor 2 of them and I got a Togepi out of egg during the event

Went different places second day, played 6 hrs (first day disappointing) - 2 shinies in last 10 mins. Shiny rates NOT good! Everyone talked to also having bad luck. Worst event for me so far.

My conspiracy theory is that because some time zones can get 4 days of 6 special trades, Niantic is working on a nerf so special trades are confined to event days by local time instead of worldwide. And that would be why NIantic did not give us 6 special trades for this event. And to make up for it they gave 2 per day for the entire season. I'm probably wrong but that's how I think.

I and others saw many incense spawns disappear as soon as they were clicked. Perhaps there is ONE bug where the disappearing spawns were the shinies. That would explain both of the unexpected things we saw with one bug instead of two unrelated bugs.

Odds were boosted but not as much as day 1. Speculation was 1 in 128 for day 1 and 1 in 256 on day 2. Regular odds would be 1 in 512. Take it for what it's worth.

Count yourself lucky that the raids kept going after 6pm there. I don't know about the other Asia-Pacific countries but over here in Korea everything just disappeared at 6pm and no raid eggs spawned until about 8pm and we're looking around like "what just happened???"

Great event! I will say the shiny being boosted I’m unsure of. Wife and I grinned all day day 1 catching 900 plus Pokémon and got 1 shiny. Wife with zero. Day 2, so far 4 hours in and zero shiny. We have had a lot of fun so overall we are happy but seeing others with 30-40 plus shinys makes me wonder. But I guess it’s all part of luck.

My GO Fest went AMAZING!!! My biggest flex was a 98 Shiny Kyogre but I also got some nice shinies like Klink and 2 new ones which were Numel and Shelmet. My first Pokémon I clicked on the whole event was a shiny Numel and in the last 3 seconds of Day 2 I got a Shiny Seedot!! In 10 Kyogre raids I got the Hundo and a Shiny 98, by far my most successful legendary!!! Best Pokémon Go event!!!

I ended the weekend with 25 shiny Pokémon. The only new one I got was Numel. I went hard on the axew raids with 25 or so with no shiny. I did get a few shiny ones I didn't have so that was exciting. It would have been nice to see more new shiny ones, but I'll just have to hunt them casually or wait for an event that revolves around them.

Got 7 shinies, Costumed Pikachu, Meditite, Baltoy, Klink (lvl 1) Bronzor, Slakoth, and with 1 min to spare, my last check was a shiny axew. I know, lucky me.
