It looks good but if I would have been in charge then I would just have rebuilt the old wtc just like it once was but stronger and maybe a little taller. I would definitely still had some type of memorial.

Went twice and I hated it both times. They really screwed up. No character, no charm, nothing but a white empty space with high end stores stuffed on each side. So boring, I will not be back even if I could afford the stores. The only reason why I might go back is Eataly, but they have a midtown location, so maybe not. The Staten Island Mall is a trillion times better.

I like your comment the best. Get this...decades ago I was reading a journal about how architects were thinking of a way to build a "structure" that would be used to store dangerous radioactive waste for thousands of years. The design had to be such, so that any human in the far distant future would recognize the main features as communicating a dangerous place. The best design was one that used "spines". That's what this building reminds me of - some sort of nightmarish building that resembles an enormous thorn that screams "stay away!".

Certainly is impressive. Although it was kinda ugly I still miss the old one below the twin towers. I would go through it as a young boy with my Dad to access the PATH train when we rode to the Liberty Science Center. I remember all of the back-lit signs.

The original WTC 1 and WTC 2 are now memorial fountains made in their footprings. The WTC 1 now is located at the original location of the old WTC 6 and WTC 2 is now located at the old WTC 5.

Westfield has been a dutiful "goon" of Durst and the Port Authority, making sure that like the space that should have been leased to Windows On the World that got leased to Red China for their "Private Businessman's Club", only "well-connected insiders" get a shot at leasing decent space. It's sick and revolting the way the Port Authority conducts itself in real estate, like a private plaything of the political establishment of New York and New Jersey. Then they put in these super-arrogant PANY hip-pocket developer types S.O.B.'s like Durst, Silverstein, and Westfield, to do their dirty work. sad.
