I went back in 2016 for the Craftsman festival. They had the best roller coaster I've been on, Time Traveler I believe. I love Mystery Mine at Dollywood but TT was a blast.

Never been when Silver Dollar City was in TN but the first & only time I've been to Dollywood was in either '86 or '87 when the park was still fairly new... especially when you compare it to what it's become today! Thanks, as always, for sharing! God bless! ~ Scott 💙🙏🏼

Dollywood was Silver Dollar City when I was a child. They had cowboys and Indians , lol. There was a train that went around the park , and one of the bad guys jumped on the train and grabbed my little brother as a hostage! 😅. He was terrified 😂.

My husband and i went to SDC twice -- once a few years ago for the pumpkin festival; it was awesome, and during the eclipse where we made Branson our homebase for visiting the area. We're not huge ride people, we only went on two each time, but the music and craft demos more than made it an experience. I could definitely go back for the pumpkins again, but we're intrigued by the idea of visiting during the Christmas festival too.

I remember going to Sliver Dollar City, in Smoky's before it became Dollywood. 🎡🎢 We also did Siliver Dollar City, in Branson. Don't feel bad we also didn't do the cave. This just looked amazing 😲👍🏻 Thanks for sharing 👋🏽👋🏽😃 God bless

Being from Missouri, before we became enchanted with The Smoky Mountains, Branson was our go to place, much like the Smokies in the Ozark Mountains☺️. Silver Dollar City at Christmas is a beautiful sight! Another attraction that should not be missed is The Shepherd of the Hills outdoor theater play. And lodging at Bass Pro’s Big Cedar Lodge is an awesome place to stay in a beautiful Ozark Mountain setting. Nice video of a great place to be!! 🫎

Thank you Ryan for taking the time to share this information with us. This park looks like a great place to visit. Probably as fun as Dollywood is. We understand that not everyone is going to like what is going on there but we see it as progress with respect for the local area and people living there. We know Dollywood employees a lot of great people here in the Smoky Mountains area. Thank you for what you do. Hope you are feeling better. Take care of yourself.

Last year we went to Gatlinburg in the fall and we were planning to go this year for Christmas , but cause of the devastation around there we canceled , so we are planning to go to Branson Mo. for Christmas this year. Never been there but sounds like fun !

Thanks for the review, Ryan. I have never been to Silver Dollar City before, but we are going in November for the first time for the Christmas Festival. We have been to Dollywood's Christmas Festival many times, but we have heard that Silver Dollar City 's is even far more extravagant. It's hard to imagine. We can't wait to see and experience it. When i first saw the picture of this new resort right away, i thought DreamMore. It looks a lot like DreamMore. It makes sense to me that Silver Dollar City does something like this since they also own Dollywood, and it is a sister park. I think it would be great if you could buy a season pass that you would be able to use at all of their parks, including Dollywood and Silver Dollar City. Thanks for this great review, Ryan, and for keeping us updated with what's going on. I always appreciate your videos. You always keep us well informed. I appreciate you so much. God bless you, my brother. Soli Deo Gloria

I would be willing to pay more for our Dollywood passes to include Silver Dollar City! I have heard their Christmas is better too, maybe I’ll drive out there this year? Thanks SMM!

We are season pass holders for SDC. Christmas is great, but we prefer Harvest Fest or Summer Celebration because all of the rides are open. If you aren’t too concerned about splash rides, do Christmas. - Jim n Denise

PS: Marvel Cave is really cool. An old-timey Cog Train pulls you up out of the deep back to the surface.

We went to Silver Dollar City once, 18 years ago! I don't remember much about it, other than having a wonderful day. Friendly employees, great theming...much like Dollywood, understandably. It would be fun to go back now that we know Dollywood so well. Someday.

Love the Harvest Festival at SDC! The new Fire in the Hole is a great improvement to the park! Make sure to catch the opening ceremonies/flag rising at park open. I read beginning next year (2025) the big Christmas tree will a real tree - Rockefeller Center like. Excited for that!

ive been to Silver Dollar City MO back in the 70s. dont remember much but i do know it was fun. will have to visit once the new resort opens. i also went to Silver Dollar City in TN if i remember correctly we visited the last year it was opened as Silver Dollar City. Dollywood is much better. im a big roller coaster fan the rougher the better!

SDC is on our bucket list. Dollywood passholders get a discount too. Maybe 2026 will be the year to go!
@umctiger254Ай бұрын
Great review of this announcement.. I would suspect the sitting area underneath the flag would be overlook from the top of the Bluffs overlooking Table Rock Lake. Being from Missouri originally in season pass holders, SDC is a wonderful value for what I would consider one of the major theme parks in America.. this is an exciting Edition for not only SDC, but the Ozark region. If I were to recommend one Festival to attend in a year Christmas by far hands down would be the best. If one had the opportunity to attend an 2nd festival, then the Blues and BBQ in early summer would rank #2 .. tremendously good food offered..

So, they are interchangeably mentioning “Ozark Mountains,” which are only located in Missouri and Arkansas, not Tennessee.

This is highlighting Silver Dollar City in Missouri. I just shared some similarities to its sister park here in TN.

Branson is a similar place in many ways in the Ozark Mountains as is Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge; but of course The Ozark Mountains cannot compare to the Smoky Mountains. But Branson, much like the Smokies, is a great place for a family vacation; something for everybody to do at both places☺️!! 🫎

The resort looks nice. But I could see it being $400-500 a night. Things have become way too expensive.
@AdventureIsOutThereАй бұрын
I think the long term idea is to add value resort(s) in the long run. Disney has high end resorts that are much more expensive than HFE resorts, but then also offer value options such as pop century or art of animation.
@WilliamKing05Ай бұрын
Nice but they out priced tha average person. Look at how much the inn at Christmas place has increased their prices. Hotels cost too much. 300 to 400 dollars a night

@@AdventureIsOutThere If you're really looking for value, going off season and off property are the best bets. You'll just want to weigh the perks (if any) of staying on property. I just heard Universal's Helios Grand Hotel at the upcoming Epic Universe will start at $285 per night. That's the same price as Art of Animation next June for the brand new hotel inside a brand new theme park. Good luck finding a reservation, tho!

I was thinking the same thing. Now, the parks are beginning to look a lot alike. Part of the charm was the difference in the two but now it seems like they are going for twin parks ala Disney World/ Disney Land. The drawing of the new SDC resort looks identical to Dream More.
