I just had a brilliant idea. Remember how Energylandia in Poland was supposed to get a Vekoma Tilt coaster but canceled those projects later on? Well, what if Six Flags bought that project from Vekoma and had them build that coaster at Magic Mountain next? That way, Southern California would have three different dive coasters with B&Ms Emperor at SeaWorld San Diego, Gerstlauers Hangtime at Knott's Berry Farm, and Vekomas version of a dive coaster here.

Cycle is used in thermodynamics for engines. For example there is a Diesel cycle, Carnot cycle, Otto cycle, etc... Cycling could simply be part of the theming of the rollercoaster being a mechanical power source, not that the rollercoaster is a launch coaster or anything. I'm strictly talking about theming as the bird follows that theme.

This exactly. Those are pretty much the only options. I would say a Vekoma Family Coaster is the most likely option, followed by the Tilt coaster, then the dive, and then the Mack Spinner. I would kill for a Mack Extreme spinner but I would expect that to be far out of their budget.

I came here to post this exact thought, but ya beat me to it. Im thinking something along the lines of falcon flight as well. And didnt magic mountain tweet a few months back “giga anyone”??? Im guessing a giga similar to falcons flight but on a smaller scale obviously. Since FF is breaking every record, maybe this sets a record for something here in the states. Maybe steam punk themed, or maybe the bird is after a comic character or movie, not sure

@@Noct31 Yukon Striker, the tallest dive coaster, is 223 feet tall, but it's plot is 900 feet on the long end, and 440 feet on the wide end. So for a giga dive, if I scaled up those numbers for a 300ft dive, the plot would need to be 1,215 feet long, and 600 feet wide. The plot opened up at SFMM is 715 feet at it's longest, and 360 feet at it's widest. So it wouldn't even be enough to fit a 220ft Dive. Of course this is all assuming it will receive a similar layout to Yukon Striker, it could of course have a more compact layout, so a 200ft dive would be possible, but 300ft? No chance.

@@gorbshal2598 the actual lift would only need 15-160 feet of horizontal distance to reach giga heights given the angle of the lifts. And, if you use to terrain to extend the drop, even less distance would be needed. A creative team could easily fit it, assuming we actually know the real dimensions of the site we're working with.

I think that orange stripe may be hint of the possible track style. Look at the outer orange strip, I think it was given depth for a reason, now with that in mind, is that Ibox or single rail track? The “Mech Bird” has very small wings if any at all, so I’m guessing it’s going to represent speed and agility Vs flight, so a twisty multi launch coaster hopefully with some sort of Top hat element from hades. 😂

Most likely won’t be a dive since there are already a few in close proximity, a motorbike also doesn’t seem likely due to how many multi launches there are+pony express being in close proximity, but until we actually know, we can only speculate

Aren't the orange/yellow orange colors on the sign Tatsu's original colors? Or something similar? The sign colors could be a clue, but blue and orange are color compliments and are commonly used together. But the bird is very interesting. Looks very reminiscent of a roadrunner, but thicker. Almost built like a TRex... I did just notice the orange on the bird resembles vest restraints. Looks like inversions are definitely happening.

I think the "cycling in" is a play on words. Cycling as in, the way a train cycles the layout, or the way a train cycles the track. So whatever it is, is unique in the way that it moves.

Could “cycling” not be related to the type or theme of the coaster, but to the actual process of cycling trains through the course of track. Like running “test cycles”. The first thing I thought of when I saw “power” and the bird was a launch wing coaster.

We went to the rasa event last night, but I had to stop by and see the theater in person for myself and it was such a trip to see and remember just how much that area has changed over the last decade. We got to the park at 5 just to walk around before the event (super fun, definitely weird being at a rave in six flags lol) I really hope we continue to be a record setting park pushing for more thrills

Heck Yeah Dylan, It does look you've maintained your fitness from where you were during your Universal Hollywood experience and that is awesome. Or at least trying to maintain, lol. I know it's hard. Also awesome being into Tech House. I was sad to miss Gareth Emery's Lasar City at the Palladium. He's so innovative with the mix of tech, lazers, beats and emotional riffs.. .I do like Shiny, lol. Anyways...I am hyper curious for the new...attraction. A full on family ride would be a very cool addition and fit in with previous impulses for the Six Flags Chain but a major, ahem.. Major investment....the kind Kate Middleton would give up being queen for... is also an idea too. We into the coaster community know how RMC keeps teasing certain Big Deal ideas and that could work with the suggestions in the panels. And while we would love Knotts to get get that kind of love..we also understand how difficult it would be to do that with their neighbors. It does make me wonder if they would kind of pair up to balance each other out.

I know it's a running joke, but what if they really DO extend Full Throttle all the way past the station, essentially creating the longest ride in the US (aka FALCON, a bird, Flight) and thus completing Full Throttle's CYCLE? I mean the proximity to all those markers and the land around and beyond it means the new ride (if a separate ride) will be very close, if not will interact with FT. Far fetched? Maybe but I have to put this on record somewhere!

I don't know why the word "cycling" brings to mind the Axis coaster. It might be the very first and you know MM with being the first, with the most etc...but all the coaster types mentioned in this video are all likely possibilities. I really want a Vekoma though. Please MM lol.

I don't think it could be a family coaster because it says "epic thrills" so most likely something thrilling, otherwise it would've hinted something family based. This sounds like a T-Rex or even some launch rollercoaster like pantheon. That's just my guess, we'll just have to wait and see until the park announces it

That's the Problem with X2. It's expensive to maintain. If X2 is staying, they'll get rid of other coasters cut down costs. Ninja, Tatsu, and Viper. I know it's not a good choice but it is to cut costs.

Intamin Family LSM - Launch Motorbike COASTER "Zokkon" at Fuji-Q. 3 launches, a reverse section.like Hagrids, then another forward section. Keyword here is "Family coaster" a modern one, with the station located next to bugs bunny world, this area has had the least investment. This ride would give Magic Mtn a competing ride against Universal's Fast ride, and beat Pony Express terribly, as well as beating Disneyland to the Tron like experience. Six flags did just buy a modern vekoma for their great adventure park, it could be a Vekoma.

I’m not sold on the motorbike coaster idea just yet. The “cycling” part could mean something different. Historically when SFMM holds something close to their chest like this it’s usually something pretty unique, and we have 2 well known motorbike coasters in the US in Hagrids and Tron. Remember WCR? A quadruple launching mobius racing coaster that no one else had at the time and they kept it hidden until they announced it. It seems like they’re doing that again. So if this is a motorbike coaster it has to be better than Tron and Hagrids, and even Artic Rescue at SWSD and I just don’t see them hiding something like that the way they’re hiding this. Plus the former 2 have epic theming, which this probably won’t have. At least not better than those 2 so it has to shatter the length and speed records to be worthy of this much hype. So I think we will see a “worlds first” type of coaster that’s either completely new, a unique twist on a current type, or a coaster that hasn’t been built here yet like a Xtreme Spinner like RTH, not Time Traveler. But a motorbike coaster would have to be the craziest one yet and I just don’t see it being that. Just my 2 cents.

Also side note, with this being built next to Full Throttle and those signs saying things like “Power Up” and “Go All Out” they might be expanding that whole area to include this new attraction and it’s probably gonna share themes with Full Throttle, like how Ninja and Tatsu share theme.

Heres my prediction. So I am gonna say this. I doubt this project is the giga! Because the space is pretty big, but giga coaster big. But that doesn't that the giga coaster won't ever happen. Magic Mountain has pretty much maxed out on all of its coaster spaces, especially when this project is complete. If they are gonna build a giga, I do think something will have to get removed. My guess is probably Viper. So if they removed Viper before this project. They would briefly lose their record of 20 roller coasters. So I think they are doing this project as a pre giga project so they won't ever have to lose their 20 roller coasters title

Well when it comes to giga remember they can go steep with the lift and with the drop. Hyperia is a perfect example of a coaster nearly the height of Goliath but in a footprint way smaller. So this is going to be fun to watch 😁

​@@ThemeParkObsessionDD they should not only remove Ninja, but they should also remove Tatsu and Batman The Ride then relocate them to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom replacing Batman invert with a Mr Freeze Themed Ski Coaster if B&M has inverted Ski Coasters in stock but Gotham needs Batman, I would add a Batman themed S&S Screaming Swing. Besides Six Flags Discovery Kingdom should add the Batman invert and Tatsu because right now it sucks. The only B&M they have is Medusa.

yeah know i could be wrong but what if its a coaster based off robin, he does ride a motocycle in batman and robin and i know its not robin colors but we never know? i dont really know any other superheros that are blue and orange and ride a motocycle so yeah?

I’ve got it all figured out. So, the bird is a roadrunner, the fastest bird on the ground. The cycle is an allusion to the menstrual cycle and the blue and orange lines represent the lines on a pregnancy test. What they’re trying to say is that this new ride is going to impregnate you with thrills! It was so obvious!
