NEW SKIN for Hel - Eclipse Summoner

Eclipse Summoner Hel will be available in the Odyssey: Reckoning event. It can be acquired after earning 160,000 Odyssey points. You can achieve this by buying Odyssey bundles (a skin + a cosmetic) and completing quests. You can also earn Odyssey Points through the Battle Pass (20,000), purchasing the Digital Lootpack and other items in the Smite store. You can also pre-purchase the whole Odyssey on Day 1 (September 8th) for 8,000 gems to automatically receive this skin and various other items on that day. As more bundles are released, you will automatically receive them.

I really want to like this skin but the guardians being right in the way just make the skin look so chaotic and ugly. I would much rather the guardians stick to being part of the recall, skills and other taunts etc. but having them idle with Hel just doesn't look right. All of the design on Hel's model is just covered up by the Guardians hovering around over her model. :/

Not only should the guardians just appear when she uses skills. But what makes it worse is that the guardians are visually part of her 1 and 2 skills, so they appear as duplicates on those abilities.... The one behind her and the one making the effect... @Elena Ortega Sanchez but the thing that makes a t5 skin well...t5 are the transformations and how the effects change a little bit with every transformation (and having very flashy effects), but this skin barely has any of that, even the effects are basic...the only thing that makes the skin a t5 ( kinda) are the guardians...which aren't even all that great, so overall it looks like a basic exclusive skin that you would find in a chest ( yes, even with the guardians) Ps: and before you ask: yes, i know this skin has a transformation, but it changes so little that you can barely notice it

NGL I like the skin, and it's easy to see how much work was put into it with the additional models, effects, animations, and such. Although I do agree that it is a little underwhelming as a T5. I particularly wish her switch between stances was more beautifully dramatic, and have the guardians actually rush out to use abilities instead of making another illusion of the guardian do it. I may still get the skin though, since Hel is the only character I care to get skins for.

I’m probably the only person that likes this skin lmao. It’s so detailed and actually full of personality. It gives me like the final evolution of Hel with mega evolutions on top. I also love the interactions between the guardians and Hel herself. Overall a 9/10 for me only because I do wish there was another evolution but I do understand Hel having two skins already lol

The change is so subtle that I had to go back and watch the beginning again because I totally didn't saw it the first time lol. The animations are top notch and the model is not that big that it takes the whole screen, but it doesn't have that T5 transformation that we all love so I personally don't think is worth, without a clear change on the skin to me this is a T4.5, and the .5 is bc of the animations.

This is the same feeling I got from the Hou Yi T5. It feels busy with all the extra “beings” around the god and the god itself is just kinda... basic. I can appreciate the hard work the animators and artists and everyone else that was part of the making, but I don’t really feel like you can call this a T5. A stance switcher with very average looking normal abilities was a hard sell... I think it's creative what they did, but needed some more refinement (guardian not duplicating for example). They should just do skeleton odyssey repeats during the year and give ppl the opportunity to get limited skins(from everywhere). They made it harder for themselves doing more and more T5s a year.

Why do they try and think out of the box for T5 skins. Like people like the original T5 that evolve, that's what we want. Skins like this ruin the title of Tier 5.

They themselves said that they were exploring new ideas for t5 other than just another boring evolving one. I really liked what they did with hou yi's t5 and his pet mechanics. But unfortunately this one just sucks and doesnt seem to have as much thought and effort put into it. But I dont really want another evolving t5 skin where I have to wait until like level 15 to get the good form

i like it but im not loving it. it does seem very busy and I guess it seems like they built upon Hel's original dark/light theme rather then going for something different. while i'd totally rock this skin and will probably even end up getting it because im a FOMO whale i don't really think this alone is worth the price tag. luckily if you buy it now you get a bunch of other stuff.

Pretty good skin in my opinion, I honestly was thinking of some sort of dynamic like normal, so Sun and Moon themes weren’t the first thing I would put off the table. But they did a great job with the skin. I played the PTS and it was really cool, the voice work could be better but other than that great job. (And just a reminder that Frostfire Ullr, the player frame was cooler than the cluttered skin)
