One of my favorite Yokai. He has a wonderful design and emits an eerie aura. They should have included the “otherworldly “ birds and marine life that accompany his presence. That could have added some ranged attacks.

What I really love about this is how they decided to add a yokai that's verily shrouded in mystery (like, I think there's only one or two stories surrounding Bake-Kujira that's accessible or at least known). I only knew about this yokai due to the amount of research I was doing a few years ago... and now I get to see him in a game~!

i’m going to school in order to get a degree in marine biology with the intention of hopefully studying mammalogy at some point and ever since i heard about bake kujira, it inspired me to get an entire tattoo piece on my back resembling the yokai of despair. haven’t played smite in over nearly 2 years but this announcement might very well bring me back.

I expected him to be slightly larger but in that form is probably more balanced. I quite like his abilities especially auto attack passive but I wish sonic wave have reveal effect like camazotz's 1. Also it would be nice if ult had animation with whale jumping like on lore video and then activating aoe effect.

​@@Phantom-bh5ru The reason Jorm can be as big as he is, is because he is a snake, who can have most of his body bellow ground, and only his head sticking up so that his model doesn't actually take up that much more space than other gods. That is just not feasable with a whale. Imagine if Kujira was as tall as Jorm, and just think about how long he would have had to been, and just how much space he would take up.

His kit synergizes well with each other, but his ult needs a little work imo. Not being cc immune really hurts his team fight, but having cc immunity on a 3 second ult like that would be busted, so maybe he could use some small amount of mitigations to compensate. Also watching this video confirms that his time dilation doesn't work like olorun field and projectiles still fire at the same speed even if they are shot slower.

Atleast the 3 is inmune to some cc, and have a little of mitigations in passive and the first ability, like they choose more Anti cc in differents parts of the kit and a little in ult, is a little weak but is still fun and usable

Sacrificing a great amount of CC immunity in order to reduce enemies damage and increase the damage they receive is what Terra also does and how often does Terra fit in meta? Or how often do people even play Terra accordingly? While Terra has the CC/Healing, big whale has the constant damage reduction. Terra gets knock-up immune, whale gets knock back immune, while terra has to waste an entire mana pool for aoe damage, whale does it while sleeping. It's a playstyle that compared to other guardians, this one is the 2nd (imho) that can easily trigger adcs when not played correctly (Jorm support triggers just being in lane)

@@Pigayyy It kind of is in the context of this ultimate where the passive of the god allows your to stick to your target indefinitely and you're getting increased damage at the epicenter or you can run around and position the time dilation even though the time dilation is on the weaker side from what we've seen with time stuff in the game. I think mitigations would make the ult feel better while still allowing for some counter play.

I always find it really funny when there's an absolutely gargantuan god introduced like Cthulhu or Tiamat and then in the actual game they're like the size of a horse. Like not small surely but certainly not big. (speaking of it would be really cool to see more gods in the great old one pantheon, namely Nyarlathotep or Hastur.)

yeah likely not going to happen. they said a few years back that the farthest their going to do is Cthulhu and that mythos. even debunking people's concerns about dumbeldore, goku, etc. so at best we would only get kaiju/godzilla themed skins but not Godzilla himself.
