You are not an ungrateful jerk! You are an awesome reviewer that is NOT afraid to say how you really feel... other KZbinrs just say nice things because they feel they have to since they were sent it for free

Totally agree! I think it's because in other youtuber's case their YT channel is there only job whereas Stephanie has an already established source of income and is doing YT on the side so she's able to give an unbiased, genuine review on products that were sent to her. Appreciate her sincerity so much!

I have oily combo skin, and I obsessively watched all your vids, learned as much as I could, did my own research, and have found that a lot of the products you rave about have worked wonders for me!! Has totally transformed my skin! (Using the DE cleansers and lotions with the Sunday Riley Juno and the duo set and the p50)....MY skin has never looked more smooth or plump and my pores look nonexistent! So lots to thank u for!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I almost killed myself to get to the video once I saw it go up in my notifications. You have changed my skin sooo much! I've sat here and watched your videos over and over, taking note of products that work for you. Get this.... I'm OILY..however...everything you use on your dry skin, I've bought and started using on my oily skin...and NO LIE... My skin looks amazing and somehow, I'm starting to have normal skin...I've never had normal skin. I am 100 percent convinced that products for oily skin keep your skin oily. Kinda sux because I wish I would have known this years ago. To name a just a few products..I've been using the Drunk Elephant vit c serum, Sunday Riley Good Genes, Juno and Luna. You are my HERO! And THANK YOU THANK YOU for your videos.
@rian6858

Sissy F oh wow there crazy I thought it was just me! I was super oily forever and after I started using stephanies suggestions, I swear I'm now normal. my foundation ALWAYS slid right off my face after an hour or so and my face would basically eat product(blush lasted 2 hours, bronzer disappeared). I use : c-firma, Sunday riley, Luna oil, fresh seaberry,belif moisturizer, caudelie oil, Dr dennis gross acid pads, indie Lee toner, pixie glow tonic, ester lauder ANR(night fair complex 2),m-16 acid pads. totally changed my face and helped my scars so much!
@Yachtbebe
@Yachtbebe 7 жыл бұрын
That is sooo awesome Rian! I thought I was the only one too. I do also use the glow tonic and the belif moisturizer as well. Yes, it's amazing...all these years I've been making my skin oilier by drying it out. I would also be oily 1 hour after I 'd apply makeup. I also started using the Chanel Luminiere Velvet foundation which I would've never worn 6 months ago because It would've made my face an oil slick. I now look just a tad dewy after 6 hours but not oily. I do however set everything with RCMA powder or the IT cosmetics powder..because I'm still wanting a little matte on my skin..hides fine lines better. Very happy for us!! and all those who have struggled with OILY skin that have found something that works :D and again, without Stephanie I wouldn't know what I know today.

You are the single person on KZbin that I 100% trust. You are upfront and honest about everything, even if it was sent to you. I can't thank you enough for that trust and honesty, it's rare. I'd love to see a video on skincare basics and why you use each product. I'm new to the skincare game (besides the simple moisturizer and cleanser) but I'm not a teenager anymore and would like to try to do prevention in terms of wrinkles and also just make sure my skin is being properly cared for. Much love and respect.

Hi Stephanie. I love watching your skincare videos because you seem so knowledgeable about what goes into these products. I have a very oily complexion on my face and so the products you talk about are typically not something I would use. With that being said, I have very dry skin on my body. It always seems like no matter what I try my skin is always very dry, red, itchy and scaly. I also tend to have a sensitivity to fragrances. If you could please do a video where you go in depth about the best body skincare products I would so appreciate it. Thank you for the time and dedication you put into your reviews, they're so informative. (P.S. your commentary and knowledge on skincare inspired me to overhaul mine, I went from a pricy Lancome cleanser that had nothing to benefit my skin to an amazing cleanser and toner from Paula's choice)

Hey gorg I have dry skin as well and what I do is exfoliate in the shower to get all the dead skin off, then when I get out I put on organic coconut oil. It is so good for your skin, I put it all over my face and neck too and I've seen dramatic anti-aging benefits from it. On the body, it works wonders. It literally is a miracle oil, it soaks in quickly, keeps you moisturized all day and starts to heal the dry skin. Hope this helps ❤

Me too, my skin is too sensitive for fragrant oils! One of the brands Steph mentioned in this video, Kypris, makes an essential-oil-free blend called "Beauty Elixir 3". You can also get 1 oz of pure marula oil in a frosted glass pump bottle from the brand Acure (at Whole Foods or online) for $9 instead of the Drunk Elephant which is $72 for the same amount.

hi Stephanie. I love the new beginning of your videos. the graphic design work is good. just wanted to say how I thoroughly enjoy your detailed reviews and all the effort you take to provide accurate information with all your videos. I love how you follow the same process when reviewing from how you swatch, how long you wear it, the updates throughout the day, how you rate the products compared to others. it's like your a researcher Who's reporting on your findings. and even how you take the time to do spreadsheets. I'm a self taught makeup artist and own a hair salon in New Zealand. I've been forwarding your videos to clients and employees who have an interest in makeup and skincare. you are now my authourity on all things makeup and your opinions carry alot of influence for me. being creative types we can get a bit carried away with how we FEEL about a product. the additional information you provide has saved me so much time and assisted when making decision about purchases. keep up the excellent content and non emotional approach. I'd be interested in any reviews of hair products/ tools you use. An idea could be GHD irons compared to CLOUD 9. love your work. xxx from NZ

thank god you saw this already. I was just gonna ask you about the ordinary. I just ordered a few two hours ago. can't believe three serums cost me less than 30 bucks in total. the only serum I found not piling was the belif hydration serum. But I want my serum to do more for me as I am 25+. when I was trying to find a morning serum that doesn't pile when I layer up, I found about the ordinary. So, as much as I am interested in the azelaic acid, I didn't want to get anything with silicone in it from the ordinary.

Since following a lot of your recommendations and the science behind them (I'm a physicist for NASA JPL but used to be an MUA for 10 years, so my knowledge is limited) - my skin has changed so much for the better. I'm 29, going through an emergency hysterectomy and cancer ... sigh, *Stuff* - it's been so amazing having someone to listen to to break everything down and give me a list of things to add to my regimens as my skin recovers from treatment. You are seriously amazing and I love you dearly (in the "best friend in my head" kind of way 😂). Thank you for your education and brutal honesty. I have been using the tarte Rainforest of the Sea cleanser in the mornings and following it up with Good Genes and it's done wonders for my skin. Stephanie has completely revolutionized my skincare routine. In the evening after my shower I follow up with Sunday Reilly Martian toner, Belief aquabomb or moisturebomb (I switch depending on season as the moisturebomb's creamy, thicker nature is good for winter), then Luna Oil and Fresh Seaberry oil, finished with some Burt's Bees on my lips before bed. My skin condition has improved 10 fold, I don't even really get breakouts from hormones anymore. Thank you, Stephanie, for your continued education to your viewers.

I can confirm that Drunk Elephant LaLa whipped cream is a perfect night time moisturizer for reactive, combination skin. I put a strong acid combination on my skin at night, and the LaLa cream really helps prevent peeling. I use it at night as my last step, and in the morning because my mineral sunscreens can be drying on their own.

Lynsey W highlight and contour look beautiful when done correctly as a lot of makeup artist's say, if you can tell you did it then you didn't do it right. it's supposed to be subtle and seamless just to add dimension not change your facial structure.
@Breighyn
@Breighyn 7 жыл бұрын
when women do it it isn't necessarily meant to feminize the features, its meant to create dimension. And for the record, unfortunately some women do have more masculine features and find that they do indeed like to feminize their faces, your needs aren't the standard for everyone else.

Brian Miller you're going way off what I actually mean! If you need to do it then fine, great! I just hate the whole KZbin beauty guru thing where every tutorial is the same! Hi Stephanie, I have been using the pixie glow tonic for a few months now along with mostly Drunk E products and it's been great for my sensitive skin. I recently read what beautypedia has to say about the glow tonic and it kinda has me wondering..according to them the witch hazel if I remember right, is really damaging to the skin. Would you agree with what they say about the product? Thanks!

Hi Steph, Personally, I like the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm - if you haven't tried it yet, it may be a good option. There's no scent, doesn't irritate the eyes, takes waterproof mascara off completely, doesn't disappear into the skin and it's easy to find - which is a bonus... Have a great day!

Phor Ohphor they sell at Wegmans and Whole Foods, plus Ulta online. I like their cleansers, they're all gel-based. I have also used the pumpkin peel and their sunscreens. I didn't get much out of the pumpkin peel, not sure if the pH is out of whack or it just wasn't right for my skin. They also have a fruit enzyme toner in spray form that I enjoyed. I don't have sensitive skin at all but I imagine there are probably too many citrus oils and fragrance components in the products for people who are sensitive to such things.

Yes I really enjoy the brand! They carry it at the Sprouts near me. I have quite a few of their products. They are kind of pricey but I think it's worth it. I have: the Ultra Hyaluronic Serum- a looser serum, does a good job moisturizing but it's not a super heavy cream serum so if you have really dry skin you probably need something thicker. The Supreme Polypeptide Cream is anti-aging, it's supposed to retexturize your skin and firm and smooth. It smells pretty bad, like mushrooms or something but I use it on my neck and it has given me wrinkle reduction, also very moisturizing, more than the serum. The Perfect C PRO Speed Peel is a 10% L-Ascorbic Acid peel, it is in a hazy jar and I keep it in my drawer in bathroom so it stays stable. You are only supposed to leave it on for 1 minute AT MOST! I didn't take that seriously when I first used it and left it on for 2-3 mins and it was very powerful, made my face red and hot for a while. When I time it for 1min exactly it works so well, I really love it. It's professional grade. Last one I have is the Hyaluronic spray, you can use it before and after makeup to set it and also refresh it whenever. The spray isn't as fine as I would like but if you hold the bottle two feet away it works well. It gives great moisture and makes your face super glowy. Overall I really like the brand, the winners are the vitamin c peel and the Polypeptide cream. hope this helps!

Phor Ohphor I've tried their vitamin c serum at 17% l-asorbic acid and didn't have any complaints. today, however, I went to my local whole foods and saw that they have a new pro serum with the vitamin c at 25%. I wonder if Stephanie can do a review on both their vitamin c serums.

Stephanie Nicole oh good! Haha. From what I remember from high school French class (which was 20 years ago 👎) I don't think you have to add "de/des), if Maison is followed by a name (if memory serves me correctly). So, basically you're saying "Louis Marie House" instead of "House of Louis Marie".
@HereDiianas
@HereDiianas 7 жыл бұрын
Diana Odisho Hi I am French and you're half true. You are true no need to add "de" here. "Maison Louis Marie". But only because it is a brand/buisness name if you talk about the house of a person you have to say "la maison de Louis Marie" :-)

I absolutely love your skincare videos. You go more in depth with everything to make sure people understand what their skin type needs and doesn't need. I've tried the good genes from SundayRiley because you talk about it a lot and I got the ceramic slip cleaner and when I use them together for a flash facial or when I use them after each other it has made my skin look amazing. And my pores look smaller too. I'm so glad I stumbled across your videos one day! Thank you for teaching me more about my skin.

Don't feel any kind of way about the Caroline Hirons mentions. She's iconic, and though I'm not a big commenter, I consider myself a fan-girl (of both her's, and your's, as well), if I'm honest. Spending time with her must have been a trip- you're a lucky gal! I'm liking your change in concealer/highlight look- been going a shade or two darker recently, too. As always I appreciate your integrity and approach with reviews- so refreshing. I was glad to see a few items I haven't tried, but considered, in addition to some I hadn't really considered, but now will. I'm an over 35er, dry-skinned, pale girl and have had a similar skincare journey, though started a bit later. Still, it's never too late so see good improvements when you're committed! For those who've mentioned The Ordinary/Deciem products: I've been happy with most every product I've tried. I usually DE vitamin C during the day, but started using the Ordinary's C serum at night, when I don't mind the grittiness. I anxiously await Stephanie's full opinions. Along with the Ordinary line, I've been loving the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial used every 7-10 days- a LOT! No single masque or acid treatment has given me that type of instant result...followed by some Marula Oil or Vintner's Daughter, and a bit of the true Farsali Unicorn Essence? Amazing! Keep 'em coming, Stephanie- much appreciated!
