Steve, the Skout duel reg system is not like FX's. The Skout uses the lower pressure reg to drive valve opening dynamics, rather than reduce the air pressure applied to the projectile. That is what I gather from William Gardner. I apologize in advance, but would like to suggest that when you interview, you ask questions, rather than make statements and then expect the guest to say "yes; that's correct". Trying to answer your own questions before your guest has the opportunity soon becomes tedious; especially when you are consistently off track. Let the man speak, rather than trying to impress him (or us). If you had made your email address available I would suggest the above privately. To try and balance out this public negativity, I want to thank you for travelling to faraway places to bring us all the latest and greatest; and for your thorough airgun reviews.
@AEAC2 жыл бұрын
No problem with the public share. Helpful feedback is always welcome. It's disappointing to hear that my natural way of inquisitive thought processing came across as "trying to impress" Bill and the audience. Sincerely, that's not where I was at all (in my heart) ... just my usual way of seeking understanding for myself & anyone watching, as well as processing. Best, Steve
@rickoshea81382 жыл бұрын
@@AEAC Steve, I could have been kinder with my words. Perhaps what I thought I saw is something I can't help doing when someone explains something to me. I tell them what my understanding is, rather than waiting for them to finish. I blame it on enthusiasm. Nothing wrong with your enthusiasm, Steve. BTW, I have been shadow banned from a number of YT channel for speaking my mind. I am glad that was not you immediate reaction.

Lol IT DEPENDSSSSSS!!!! Probably over 1000spf if you’re shoooting sub 12…. This isn’t your standard set it and forget it airgun, not to mention the majority of listed shot count charts are a joke…. The shots per fill shooting 34grain pellets 940fps is going to be drastically different than 44grain slugs at 1050 fps. With that said, I can assure you the shot count will be as good or better than anything currently on the market shooting similar Ammo and speeds.

The SKOUT [Epoch] battery has these specs: 3.7v 925 mah li-ion [It looked Extremely familiar to me - I've had and still have similar packs] Olympus Li-50B Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery specs: 3.7v 925 mah li-ion Same specs - Both 1s [3.7v] Both 925 mAh, etc Hopefully the Epoch batteries are just 'white-label' [re-branded vs. custom] I'm sure others would work as well. Just Do Not Skimp Out On Batteries! Don't buy knock-offs, Don't buy from unreliable sources.. [For this example - I wouldn't trust Amazon - I'd go through a Camera Store like B&H Photo Video - Electronics and Camera Store] *For Authentic/OEM* [Things like batteries, memory cards, etc. are copied/cloned = Inferior and Amazon just loves re-selling and letting scammer sellers sell that crap] 🌠 "The More You Know!" . . . 🤘🤣 Sam -

The battery is likely the same unit as is used in the modern DLX Luxe (X and TM40) paintball marker, produced by same company as the Epoch. I guess my question to you is: why don’t you shoot in These 2 big shoots ( RAMAC, Extreme Benchrest ) you really support and only really interview the 2 big Manufacturers and their team shooters exclusively?. With your tuning skills I’m sure you would place in the top 3, that’s a pretty good pay out!. Why Don’t you interview, review and test the Thomas of last year’s winner? Dusty did shoot the highest score ever and hardly any attention was given to him?
@AEAC2 жыл бұрын
@Joseph Chapman Good questions, thanks. When I first began AEAC eight years ago and opened it up to every manufacturer in the airgun industry, there was a lot of tension between sponsors surrounding my vision of a "community watering hole" approach to reviewing for multiple manufacturers. This sponsor-tension for some is still healthy today and, unfortunately, prevents me from wanting to compete. The poo-poo storm it would create for me should I win wouldn't be worth the loss of access to being able to review multiple brands. Regarding EBR, 2022, I did not attend because that weekend was my wife's 20th high school reunion. Sorry for not being able to capture that for y'all. Thomas, along with every other brand out there, is always welcome to participate on AEAC. I've honestly never once heard from them up until about 3 months ago when they reached out and wanted to schedule a review. I accepted. Now it's just a matter of when. By mid 2022, my 2023 was already overbooked with a waiting list... so I told them, "let's try" with an undecided upon date. EBR, RMAC, and PA Cup - When I attend these events, I honestly interview pretty much anyone who will talk to me. It's really tough. Everyone is super busy & stressed out, and most are terrified to be on camera. The few that I do get to agree to be on camera with me tend to be the confident KZbinrs and/or Team Shooters in which there may be an "expectation on them" to get on camera with me. At the most recent RMAC, I worked hard to break free of this "norm" and interviewed about a dozen common folk on camera. I'll do the same this year if I get invited back. I really liked going this route and would like to develop upon it. Regarding using my tuning acumen to win an event, unfortunately, tuning plays a relatively small role compared to all the other stuff one has to be amazing at. Is it important? Yes, very. But winning takes a huge amount of practice, preparation, skill, and even some luck. All the winners relay these common investments & sacrifices afterward. Did that help answer all of your questions?
@josephchapman6332 жыл бұрын
Yes and no, I am glad that you noted that tuning is just a relatively small part of winning, but that’s only been put to the front in the last yr. Or so because most reviewers and manufacturers led you to believing that’s all it took. The proof of that is just 2yrs ago not that many used flags and just shot sighted to adjust for changing conditions but with the likes of Rusbear and some other dedicated Br. Shooters using flags has become the way to accurately shoot “consistently” better scores. Now to the reason I believe you talk down or believe you no more than most shooters is that last paragraph where all of a sudden you tell me that it does take more than just the tune etc. you are learning this only now? Case in point almost every review you have done is to set at your bench and look at the willow trees for your wind condition? Why? Invest in some flags, learn to use them. So you can give accurate results of your tunes, do ten shot groups not 3 or 5. Don’t be so self absorbed, there are many shooters that can truly shoot using actual BR techniques. Not just the ones in factory team jerseys. Last point is I’m actually trying to help you gain even more viewership and followers. But for me your arrogance and only following the big two or three Manufacturer’s and team shooters is a turn off and why I won’t subscribe. but you are good at getting patronage of KZbin viewers and that’s good for the pocketbook and also proves you don’t have to know as much as you think you do to achieve this. My comments are done, I’ve wasted to much of my time already. I wish the best for you.

I have been wondering why nobody has put the micro switch activated solenoid/ spool valve poppet valve tech in a killer semi /full auto kick butt air gun. I believe it’s coming very soon 🎉 I just hope they can make one us broke people can afford 😂

Looks like over here (in Europe) the Epoch will retail for 3700 Euro = 4060 Dollar. I don't mind spending extra money for a piece of airgun Darwinism, but this price is an insult and a slap in the face of people in this hobby.
