Hello Talkin Tools I just found your channel and subscribed. I too am going with the Toolbox Widgets. I have already organized my wrenches and screwdrivers. My sockets are next. Thank you for the video tonight. 😊

What are those two ratchet wrenches right above the purple Matco 1/4?? 19:50
@TalkinTools Жыл бұрын
those are ez-red 1/4" drive for a socket on one end and 1/4" bit on the other end, some are flex heads others are fixed heads. its not just the two either there are maybe 6 variations of those above the purple ratchet!
@agtx556 Жыл бұрын
@@TalkinTools very nice! Thank you for the reply, I’ll have to give ez-red a look. That Matco is on my list as well. If you do decide to convert to 3/8, I would be interested in the video. Have a good one!

@@agtx556 Not a problem! I'll definitely make a video if the 3/8" conversion is the way I go!

I discovered Alien Space Saver recently and they will probably be my next go-to for organization. Adjustable and affordable.

So I recently found those too! I have not tried them yet but they do look interesting. I may have to try them

Nice setup. You should checkout the Koken Nut Grip sockets....they really come in handy.

Thank you! And the nut grip sockets are absolutely on my list of things I want to get my hands on!

I have tool box widgets, they take up more space compare to vim mag rails. I just comparing sockets organizing. Vim rail for the win but they’re are incredibly expensive though. Just my two cents. I have the wrench, pliers and screwdriver though. Those are greats. Just the socket one takes up more than I want compare to the mag rails

I mean I can’t disagree with you completely lol. They seem to have worked decently for my drawer but I’m sure I could squeeze a little more.i think there’s going to be pros and cons to a lot of different products. I love tool grids, but honestly I think there is tons of wasted space on them. And that’s kind of what I wanted to see with the Widgets was how much space was wasted because they are set sizes and there are only so many ways you can link them together. I definitely like the mag rails but like you said it would cost an even bigger small fortune to do mag rails.

I got that long matco 1/4 inch ratchet. I never thought of putting a 3/8 head in it. Might have to buy another for shits and giggles lmfao 😂 That looks pretty good. Ive been looking at stuff for my cart and was gonna use the olsa tools magnetic ones but wobbles dont fit in them damnit. Plus, the 3/8 diametet of the holes would fit a half inch drive socket so it was too big for my liking. Lol. But the box looks good!

Greatly appreciated! Yeah I've found that there isn't really anything that organizes every singe thing like you prefer it to be. So it takes a while to find some stuff that works like you want it to

I’d go with the Mac pinned or the cornwell pinned with the blueing universal swivel sockets. That’s just my opinion. The pinless fly apart and the ones with the crimped bushing on them are just to bulky. 👍 nice video!

Thank you for the suggestions, I definitely have some shopping around to do. The matco pinless have been great for me so far but I have noticed once they're well used they have sticky spots where they seem to bind. So I'm mainly trying to alleviate that I suppose. I agree on the crimped together ones, they definitely get in the way more then is useful. I do want to check out a Cornwell set for sure!

Im a big fan of Westling machine socket organisation, but unfortunately they only do socket organisation.
@TalkinTools Жыл бұрын
I've never had my hands on those but I love the way they look and Ive been tempted to order some to see what they're like

@@TalkinTools I purchased their master set after ordering Capri Tools master 3/8th impact set with a three row organizer made by Westling, I loved it so much I needed the rest. And if they make matching wrench and pliers organizers I'm sold on it. I'm sure they could use more influencer support.
@TalkinTools Жыл бұрын
@@KoryBrooks They look killer, it would be cool to see them add to their product line for sure. Side note how do you like the Capri stuff? Ive been looking at a few socket sets they have too
@KoryBrooks Жыл бұрын
@@TalkinTools so far I got their 3/8 impact socket set and it's comparable to Matco. Their customer service was fairly speedy and shipping time was quick. They have a lot of out of stock tools, and could use a little more variety, but I believe they are Taiwanese quality like Tekton.

Sadly, I feel the quality of toolbox widgets has gone down and I’m referring to their professional line, not the DIY line. They even went from giving 15 vertical wrench organizers in a box down to 12 for the same price. The screwdriver widgets are barely functional with gaps inbetween each widget and a very loose fitting overall. I bought more last week before realizing all of that. Seriously disappointing.

I’ve definitely noticed a few boxes that I’ve gotten where the fit and finish was not what I would expect from them. So I can totally agree with you on that. I’ve always reached out to them about stuff like that and they’ve always taken good care of me too though so I can’t complain too much.
