Loved this, had a few good laughs and learnt alot too! Can't wait to see this rear view camera in action, I need one it would save me slapping the dash to wake the speedometer up in the morning 😄

Those rear view dash cams are the biz! They are in all our cars, wouldn't be without one now. Slapping it beats jumping over a speed bump though.... Done that before 😂

Great job, very good progress. Just forget about the time schedule. Nah….it doesn’t matter. What matter is the car is getting back in shape, every bit is carefully done.

Hi kd & co Thank you very much 😀 your right we're totally ignoring the time schedule now 😂 as long as she's on the road by summer! Got any good projects on the go? If you haven't already please consider subscribing

Ahh, I wish the headliner in my 1970 142S was that pressboard design. It has a more traditional setup and I've put off replacing it since the new one is costly, looks easy to damage and is rather involved to replace.

The only problem with the rear view camera like the large screen one the passenger sun visor hits when you try to use it .
@WhitelandRestorations3 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew Man I think your right but we live in rainy Wales so Sun visor use is at a minimum 😂 What car is your profile pic? Thank you for watching and please consider subscribing.

Great video. I have an '89 estate with the inside removed. I'm trying to find the wire that goes to the reverse switch on the gearbox - does it go down the gear lever hole ?? Also a very neat screwdriver you were using. What make was that ? Thanks, Pete
@WhitelandRestorations3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Peter! I think the wire goes down the side of the gear lever hole, not 100% sure on that, we haven't taken the gator off yet. Not sure which screwdriver you mean but we use Wurth screwdrivers and the electric Milwaukee ratchet which is amazing.

At 8:54 what you think is torn old rusty edge is the edge of the old factory sealer that the sandblasting left behind. There is no rust there. We are just renewing the missing sealer from the sandblasting and did the whole edge because we felt like it. It was painted in epoxy before and after we sealered. 14:17 we put more sound deadening in the boot over the rear Axel because we wanted more. It might not be necessary but we wanted to do it for the extra layer. 15:54 most of the road noise comes from down below so more sound proofing up high wasn't worth it. We re-stuck the original as it was in good condition. Thank you for watching.
