Love the videos and that truck is slick. I’m hauling my 96 OBS to the painter tomorrow. It’s been a long time coming. Mind giving us your wheel specs? Maker, offset, backspacing, diameter and width? I’m looking for some that will tuck with my 4/6 drop. Thanks.

That is exactly what I’m looking for. I really appreciate you taking the time to post it up. I’m looking forward to seeing more on this truck. I just finished restoring my frame, blasted and coated, new steering, new brakes (keeping the drums for now), new suspension (4/6 drop). I’m lucky, no rust anywhere on the truck so I stripped it of all parts and when it gets back from paint the fun starts. Take care!

Wow, bro, this is a great educational video. You're explaining how to find polarity and also ohms law . It's hard to find a video like this to correctly hook up your back speakers and front speakers plus the doors speakers on the amplifier . I was told to do the back speakers into a 2 ohms and do the front speakers into the 4 ohms for better control for the frequencies, for the amplifier or the EQS of a equalizer. 🤔 don't know what's better.

@@rubenflores2870 Thank you I appreciate that, as far as ohm loads the higher you go on impedance the cooler and your amp is going to work, also the signal will be cleaner. As far as running the fronts and rears at a different frequency is something that have never done before so I couldn’t tell you brother.

So bro, I was thinking, I was going to run my front speakers and my back speakers at 4 Ohms. I have two 6x9 in the back and run my 6 and 1/2 on my 4 channel amp but if I do what you did was Bridge the 4 Ohms into a 2 ohms does that mean I'm going to run my speakers harder than? at a lower ohms, the speakers are going to be louder nice 👍
@SpinningwrencheswithJ
@SpinningwrencheswithJ 21 күн бұрын
@ exactly my man..if you have a 4 channel amp and you install 1-4ohm speaker per channel you can only run 4 speakers off the amp. But if you do what I did in the video you can run 8-4hm speakers in parallel because you will end up with 2ohm load at the amp per channel and you will be louder.

You’ve lost fader by bridging your front and rear speakers. Those back speakers are gonna scream and you’ll lose any sort of sound quality. With them being 4x6, they will be fine at 4 ohm. You’ll gain so much better sound, using a dsp, by keeping them active on their own separate channels

You’re correct and thank you for your comment, now that you mention it I will be re-wiring the speakers. I appreciate your input!!

What tape are you using to hold down the wiring throughout the floor?
@SpinningwrencheswithJ
@SpinningwrencheswithJ 5 күн бұрын
I’m using 2” pvc pipe wrap, this tape sticks to the sound deadnaming material very well Here’s the link for the tape amzn.to/42DPS72

Very detailed and clean install. I am confused by a few things, hoping you clear them up. If you are using a dsp. Why 2 ohm bridging per side? Why sub off the radio not the dsp? why epicenter knob as well? They way your wiring it all up, you can't use a dsp except for crossovers which your amp has already. Just confused on whats going on.
@SpinningwrencheswithJ
@SpinningwrencheswithJ 17 күн бұрын
First of all thank you for taking your time to comment on my video, let’s start with your first question , why 2 ohm bridging per side? Because I’m running 8 speakers total from a 4 channel amp, 2-4 ohm speakers from channel that would bring the impedance down to 2 ohm. Why not using DSP to run bass amp? Because my DSP has 2-inputs and 8-channels output, I’m running 2-4 channel amps for mids and hights. Why Epicenter? Because I like to enhance the bass output on songs that require more power. Depends on what kind of music you’re listening to. Personal preference I guess. I hope this clarifies your questions. Thank you.

@@SpinningwrencheswithJ Thanks for the response. When you bridge the front right dash speaker and the rear b pillar, you do understand that dsp is almost irrelevant? cant use time correction but more of a crossover. since they are both 4x6's your crossover is more important. Seems like your going for loud and the way you like it. Not hating on you at all. Your work is very detailed and your edits are just as clean. Don't want to see someone waste doolars on what the amp and head unit already does. Keep up the clean, well edited videoes and your detailed installs regardless of my thoughts. Thanks for the response.
