Great video!!, this whole circuit would be great to use if someone was rewiring a Ford model A, or any other '20, '30 circa era automobile for a negative ground and change over to a 12 volt electrical system with an alternator instead of the old positive ground and 6 volt generator system!

Just one question. Why does the power block only need a 5 amp fuse. Where the relays need a higher fuse. I understand that the fuses for the relays are transmitting higher power. But doesn't the power block draw more amps if some of the accessories are working at the same time? @@WiringRescue
@keidelsantiago5556
@keidelsantiago5556 10 ай бұрын
@@starfighter2952only needs a 5 amp fuse because those only turn the relays on, not the accessories. The current draw of the coil in the relay is only about 200mA, so those 5 amps can power quite a few relays.

Your channel and motorage channel helped me understand the basics of electricity and circuits. Phenomenal job, you should be a teacher. You and I think alike, I started building wiring harnesses when I was in high school. I had a very high aptitude for electronics and wiring. I built harnesses for street rods muscle, sled pull trucks, big rigs and mud trucks into my mid 20s. I only build them now for hot rod buddies and my projects, I'm 44 now and a long haul trucker. I build them in the truck during my off time and by the time I get home every 3 or 4 weeks, a friend gets a harness. You sir have put a blueprint on video, I commend you and hope you influence others to build their own.

One of the bad things of having your favorite ride parked for the winter (Goldwing, snow, cold) is the abundance of time not riding your favorite ride. One of the GOOD things is that there is a lot more time to figure out what projects will take over your life in the Spring, and with lots of time available, there is naturally a lot of KZbin surfing. I came across one of your videos while researching fuse blocks and relays and things electrical, and was immediately hooked. You have an absolute gift in your ability to explain, in simple terms, what makes most of us cringe. I just watched this video on Headlites, Turn Signals, Brakes etc. The opening shot of the complete board nearly had me quit and move on, but I was surprised to be able to follow along with you as you explained each circuit and progressively added each new circuit. Being able to see what each piece of the puzzle did and how it interacts with the others takes a lot of the head-scratching out of the project. Thank you for taking the considerable time to help out those of us who are just smart enough to know we need help.

My truck is 22 years old . I have maintained it well and electrical is now on the menu.. I replaced my fuse block, light bulbs , and checked all connectors in the harness and cleaned every body ground connection. My electrical system went haywire when circuits were energized with the key off , then the computer under volted and stopped reading the speed sensor and that led to transmission going into safe mode along with the engine with the money light on. Some people said it was a bad GEM module .. The fix for me was replacing the fuse block and cleaning up connectors . If you own a vehicle auto electric is a must to learn. You make it easy to understand .. ⭐

KZbin randomly suggested your video to me and I'm so glad I came across it. My headlights and popup motors randomly stopped working on my 1993 Mazda RX7 and I've been putting off troubleshooting the issue because I believe the problem is in the wiring and not necessarily the components (bulbs, motors, fuses). I also haven't had a horn since I replaced my steering wheel, which makes parking lots a bit scary when people can't see me and I can't honk. lol You video gave me good insight on how to start troubleshooting my healight problems and wiring up a horn somewhere! 🙏🏽

Love the video! Extremely helpful! Also fun fact: a dodge neon (2000-2005) the mfs (multi function switch) takes all the amps for everything it runs! There are no relays in that circuit!! Causing the main connector to melt as most of the wire was to small of a gauge and over time causing the connector to melt and short out!
