I just love the way he is slightly awkward but TOTALLY genuine … he has a charm all his own! He gives 100%+ attention to everything other people say and puts 100%+ in trying to give a worthwhile and honest answer. Just look at the rapturous attention he commands in the audience from, what I assume, are really powerful people … compare that to politicians and mainstream media who just want to win the argument in front of them and look good! Solar energy 1gw per m2 daily. Australia has 20million buildings 20million rooftops. 200m2 avg area. 6.6kw rooftop solar PV, 33m2 33kWh daily. All connected to the national grid. Batteries are needed.

yes and at least for those millions influenced by centuries old marxist ideology, they prefer to have a crisis to get enraged about and point fingers (it's the wests fault, it's capitalisms fault, etc.) Actual solutions decrease their propensity to be enraged. Nuclear electricity is grid electricity. 15% of energy used is electric energy. So, 100% is 7 times more grid. Nuclear costs PLUS new grid costs is humongously expensive. Cheap battery on the existing national grid protects the fragile grid and unloads the existing grid with rooftop solar PV. Happy days

You completely miss some important facts here, as we get rid of combustion engine cars and replace them with EVs we save huge amounts of primary energy, thats even more true once we get rid of conventional heating, a heatpump saves up to 85% compared to any other conventional heating system. Electrical power from thermal powerplants have a low efficiency of 30 to 45 percent, the more solar, wind and hydro we use, the more primary energy usage is reduced. So we will use a littel more electric energy in the future, hopefully as close as possible from renewables, but reduce energy out of fossile ressources by magnitudes.

@@chriswilliams8607 you have been fooled by eliminating of fossile energy propaganda: - do you know that nearly 99% of plastic that you use a re product of Petrol? - electric energy cannot substitute GAS, try to go to uses furnaces like the one that melt iron, make bricks (where ovens are 300m long and tell them to use electric energy... - nuclear is the cleanest, but the problem of disposing the uranium after usage still remains. - if today you substitute all the cars with electric ones less than 10% of them could run, because the amount of electric energy needed is not enough, so it is not only a question of substituting the fossile fuel but also to increase 10 times the amount of electric energy produced. and by the way, when a large truck today goes to refill it takes 20 minutes to fill of gasoline, in case of "batteries" it would take 3 days.... there is still a long way to go, but it is needed something new not just the substitution 1:1 as many ignorant say.

@chriswilliams8607 Good comment. The selfplug-in V2G EVs will be a big part of our future. In Australia, 20 million buildings and vehicles. The EVs will have huge batteries compared to the home battery. The big battery will be for the long drive, but daily drives will be topped up daily. Ezi pezi. Daily drive avg is 7kwh.

ROOFTOPs do not need new grids. ROOFTOPs are at the customer's, the user's location. ROOFTOP PV does not need infrastructure or new grid.😊😊

Multiple deaths and crashes do to full self-drive. *Robotaxi will make you 100 000 income a year. *we will have 1 million robotaxis on the road by 2023 and they will make you 100-200 000 a year income. *we are not a carcompany. I used to be an investor in Tesla. And then i started to listen what Elon actually was saying. And now I won't be surprised if he eventually goes to jail.

Rooftop solar PV at the customer's building needs only the existing national grid and a battery. The sun does not shine at night when people are sleeping. 😊😊😊 Rooftop solar PV is cheaper than windows $m2. Cheaper than the windows in the home. In Australia.

Because it's better to spread out the panels. Didn't you listen to him? Instead of placing panels far away, and loose a lot by transporting it through the grid, it's better to put them on the roof of homes. This also gives the home owners back up if the grid goes down.

@@metaphysicalArtist a loan will be paid back by the saving the solar gives. Most people should actually start with buying the battery without panels if the price of electricity varies a lot between day & night, because then you can fill up the battery when the cost is cheap and then use the battery when grid electricity is expensive. From the savings by doing this one can gradually buy more and more solar panels. There is no need to buy all the panels at once if one just plans ahead.
