New Speed Triple 1200RS Cat Eliminator install for Carbon SC Project Exhaust. Will it be louder?

We ordered up a chinese mid pipe to eliminate the Catylitic Converter on a Speed Triple 1200RS. The fitment wasn't the greatest but it looks pretty good for $100 bucks. There aren't really alot of options to eliminate the cat on these bikes so we figured what the hell!

I did the exact same modification. Sound is at last there!!! Good sound without error message by putting the ESE module. I recommend it!

I have the same setup and it sounds great, the actual cat is part of the header so you either have to cut it out or drill the cat out. Definitely it gets slightly louder/deeper.

No cat in the bread box, it's in the header. You save some weight but no change in flow. Should sound better though. Zard makes a really slick full titanium exhaust, headers and can, for about what you paid for the SC. For your ECU you can disable it with tuneecu. Works great, did it myself.

Yeah for sure. In the past Ive cored them out with a hammer and chisel to free it up. That will more than likely happen on these too but I wanted to get everything dialed in before hand. Its crazy how much of a difference it makes power wise. And thanks for the note on Tune ECU. I wasn't too sure if there was anoption or not so you just made my day lol!

Exactly, this is just silencer box. I decat’ed mine by cutting it out from headers. With prorace exhaust sounds now properly.

I bought the Zard Header it’s just the header pipe no slip on, total exhaust costs over 2k dollars head pipe being 1100 and the can being the same, before I got the header I cored out my cat and it ran so much cooler and gained a lot without a tune, tune would’ve been ideal I know that’s on the way soon it blows crazy flames without the cat becomes a whole different animal nonetheless

I did the same thing but got the titanium one you're right no one makes a midpipe. I actually like the stock dual outlet muffler kept that sounds bitchen.Get the healtech thats what I did but getting servo off was a bitch. I was surprised too from China not bad nice welds.

Could you maybe cut open the „Cat“ to check what‘s in it? would be very interesting! I got told that‘s just an additional silencer and not the cat.. would that mean that emissions stay „stock“? i‘m not so much into the game the easiest for me would be that mid pipe but with the valve Also could you do a DB Level test with that setup? im curious how much louder it is if it‘s only a silencer

can't you just remove the cables from the actuator box and leave the box to work as intended? p.s. also, that looks like to be a mid muffle box, not the cat, cause there's still a huge phat tube under the bike, which is most likely The catalytic converter.

Yeah the cat is physically in the header and needs to be hammered or gutted out. The bike won't run right without the cables connected. You'd have to leave the box connected as well in the mid pipe which you can't do. I have it coming out tune wise this week so Ill have an update for it
