Thanks for the video, doing mine this weekend as wasn’t done as part of the 12,000 mile service, and it’s great help watching your 2 videos first, as now know I’ve got the right tool on way to fit swing arm adjuster.

@@notamotorbikemechanic yeah! I would also love to visit the highlands in scottland and one of my biggest dreams is to drive with my bike to the TT on the Isle of Man! Such an iconic race! London is also one of my favorite citys i‘ve ever visited so lets hope that Covid is over soon!

I’ve not visited Scotland on the bike, but would love to. I have been to IOM many times, and have booked for 2022. I can’t wait to return, you should try and get there, it’s a lovely place 🏍 As for London, I think I’d prefer to stay at home 😂

It’s not as hard as it looks, if you don’t use hammers 😂 All the best from South Wales 🏴

You would be surprised how easy most thinks are, if you take your time and think about it......and don’t hit things with hammers 🤣

Thanks for all your vids. Give‘s me the confidence to take on some of the jobs myself. I‘ve got a 2011 Speed Triple, so I think I’ll be trying to do a bit of maintenance on the chain tensioner as it seems to be very stiff when trying to tension the chain. Thanks again 👍

Here is a little tip for the owners of older Speed Triples 2005 and 2006 if you are dismantling the linkage.One of the long bolts screws directly into the swingarm.But you have to remove the inner sleeve to free up the link.The sleeve has an internal thread into which you can screw a large bolt and by using a couple of large ring spanners on the outside you can tighten the bolt and withdraw the sleeve.A drawbolt arrangement.Well the tip is you do not have to look far to find a suitable bolt.The large bolt that tightens the eccentric chain adjuster -17mm head-fits perfectly.But always remember on re-assembly to push the inner sleeve back in with the threaded end on the outside.

When does this service need to be done?
@notamotorbikemechanic3 жыл бұрын
The rear suspension linkage is 12,000 miles/two years. Don’t think there is a service interval for the swing arm 👍🏻
