Boy 😮flicking that manix open looked difficult AF!!! 😅nah, great model, glad I waited for a gp knives in Rex45 and white FRCP with screws. Great time for knife people.

Sprint production knives are a good idea but the sprint run is limited. The knife is then picked up by a single online retailer in a limited quantity, of course. I really appreciate your candor and fine reviews.

What do you think of the rex45 now that you've had it a few days, better or worse then M4?
@bladeinsider89973 жыл бұрын
I am going with the M4. Check out the new video, I review an M4. Still maintains a good edge.

@@bladeinsider8997 will do, I love M4, just got my first rex45 yesterday, manix lw, so I'm interested to see how it is in hand. Itll be hard to beat M4

@@bladeinsider8997 mine came with blade centering issues, super stiff action that can't be remedied by the pivot bolt, and a strange rattling noise when the lock is pressed down prior to lockup.

3 yrs later and inflation has increased the price of Spyderco knives. I’m mulling over a chance to purchase a REX 45 Manix2 LW for $129 brand new. I should jump on it, but I’ve got dozens of Spyderco knives. Hmmmm. 🤔

Do it.

FRN and FRCP are different materials and have a different feel. Manix LW is FRCP

Well then I am not a fan of FRCP. Makes sense now.

FRN and FRCP (Manix 2) definitely arn't my favorite Spydercos , But just because they "Feel " cheap doesn't mean they are! You'd have a hard time breaking the Manix 2 Lightweight. ..even driving over it.
@bladeinsider89973 жыл бұрын
I agree to a point. I have lots of FRCP spydercos and while that aren't my favorite scale, I did not mind them. However, I felt different about these scales on the Manix 2. But the workmanship/machining on the scales was not up to spyderco quality. For the money that your paying, the scales and backspacer should be evened out so you cant see the seam.

@@bladeinsider8997 Nothings worse than ordering a new knife and finding flaws (blade centering, grinds, etc. Makes you feel like a nitpicker. You pay good money expecting to get what you pay for.
