Corrections: It was not a phenomenon when it was released. They were not selling for $500 or $600, they were selling for over $1000. There is NO extra tension from the string through hardtail bridge. That is from a physics standpoint nonsense. They did not roll the fretboard edges because that factory does not have the equipment to do that (the Fender Mexico factory only a few years ago received such equipment). And 7 pounds 2 ounces is NOT the same as 7.2 pounds!

While pink guitars are not for me this is a really cool guitar.I wish Fender/Squier would do a regular production of a string through hardtail in H, HH and SSS configuration. I know the Sonic series has hardtails but they are not string through. ( I have a Squier Sonic and a Bullet hardtail stratocaster ) I prefer the string through over the top loaded bridge that the Sonic series have. I really like hardtail Stratocaster's and wish Fender/Squier would do more of them with the string through bridge in different configurations.🎸🤘🏻
