I've had the ZXI5's for the past month or so. Absolutely love them. Distance, accuracy and forgiveness. Handicap has come down 5 to 6 shots. Went in thinking I was coming home with Mizunos. but ended up with Srixons.

Guys. Wanted to say thanks. I got a local fitting just after seeing your review that highlighted the new Cleveland zipcore. Unfortunately this place didn’t carry them and couldn’t order but the srixon zx4 was a superb fit for me. Amazing distance and control. So worked out a decent deal for the iron set. Appreciate the time and feedback you guys provide.

The ZX5 and ZX7’s will go down as some of the best irons ever in modern golf. Also Fourteen golf is another incredible Japanese forging company that is incredibly slept on

I think the earlier Z785 and Z585 were slightly better with a clearly thinner topline. I still game them. Have tried all ZX7 and ZX5:s but haven't been convinced enough on the topline. Those ZXi:s look like mint. 7-PW ZXi7, 3, 5 and 6 ZXi5. That would be my iron set to mix with Callaway Jaws wedges at 50, 54 and 58 degrees.

What's the lofts on the 7 irons? I know so many clubs are juicing lofts these days so a 7 is basically a 5 with alot of irons. What are these?

Depends on the model. The zxi7 is 32 on the 7 iron

What shaft are you testing with? I’m struggling between the Nippon Modus 3 120 and DG 115 Mid. Have the Mizuno 243s with the Nippons and still have the old PXGs with 115 Mids.

You're getting some stick in the comments and yes you hit the 7 fatter than normal. But you switched from a 4 (GI) to a 5(PD) to 7(tour players club) in short succession. And those crappy 7's were still going 160 and one went 180.When I'm hitting it well I don't hit a 32degree that far. So yes not your best but a good test. I would say it's not easy to jump through such a range of clubs. I'd suggest starting at the other end of the spectrum , the 7's have feel so you can warm up with that, little offset so your low point is at the ball, then move to the 5 then the 4. It's hard to warm up with a Game improvement club as you've no idea where you're striking it. Long tip short, start with the most feeling club and work your way down. On the other hand seeing the mishits made this the most realistic test I've ever seen.

@@embersgolf you 2 are 2 of my favorite people to watch on you tube . I’m an 8 handicap and love the zx4s and have to be careful not to turn them over . 2 degrees flat. They are amazing. I promise I’m not picking on ya and hitting with a bunch of people watching is way harder than just by yourself. And I would love it if you hit bombs with the zx4s
