shallot is actually an ancient saiyan that came from the ancient saiyan times(lmao) so he was mistakenly transported to goku's timeline(which is the current timeline) and he wastaught by goku to learn super saiyan, super saiyan 2 and super saiyan 3 ad he eventually gets super saiyan god with ease mostly cuz in the story mode in legends, he was revealed -for both shallot and giblet- to be descendants of the original super saiyan god so technically both shallot and giblet have super saiyan god blood flowing through them which is why one of the missions shallot fights with giblet when both of them are in super saiyan god form (btw the transformation cutscenes are pretty accurate to the game)

You are definitely right about that, the more you progress of the story, the stronger and the more form shallot will take I'm hoping in the legend series that they take blue for shot, I can't wait for that, and it's super sayin God blue form, and then I really am hoping to see them bring ultra instinct Goku into the series, along with the transformation of Ulster instinct with shallot.

DB legends is a game and the lore is that the dragon ball eras have all been sent to one new world but Shallot´s mentors are Saiyan saga Vegeta and Nappa

Basically Shallot was sent into the future by the Mastermind. He was an ancient saiyan from the first era, before Planet Plant was conquered and renamed Planet Vegeta. He has a twin brother named Giblet. Giblet was mind-controlled and Shallot had his memory wiped. He was thrust straight into the middle of a fight between Goku, Trunks, Krillin, and Broly. He has had a few mentors, and even students, but he learns a lot on his own. He was originally mentored by Goku, but he was unable to properly train him so Beerus commanded Nappa and Vegeta to train him. During a fight with Frieza, Shallot unlocked Super Saiyan. Later, he unlocked SS2 and SS3. Over time he started to regain his memory. After a long time, he finally fought his brainwashed brother, Giblet. During this fight, he unlocked Super Saiyan God. After defeating Giblet, they teamed up to defeat the Mastermind. I’m not exactly up to date on the story, I’ve missed a couple chapters, so correct me if I’m wrong. I know it’s all right up until around the Giblet fight.

The game would benefit from 4 simple things, aesthetically. 1. Functional saiyan tails (goku, vegeta, and gogeta ssj4 have them anyway. It should be a choice in character customization to either have a tail or not) 2. More unique clothing 3. Selectable Auras: Blue, red, green, yellow, ssj4, ssjb, ssjg, etc (which was a thing in older games i.e budokai tenkaichi series) 4. Different fighting stances Also, ssjr, ssjg, ssj4 and rosé as transformations would be perfect. Maybe Frieza race could get "full power" or something to make them physically stronger for strike builds Namekians could get "super namekian" that's like a ssj2 buff I've got nothing for majin And maybe earthlings could get another transformation, like "true potential" which could be like a ssj3 level type transformation just so other characters aren't left behind saiyans.

Shallot was pretty much a lone wolf at the beginning of the story mode in dragon ball legends until he met bulma or goku i cant remember, as shallot continues He Gets stronger while fighting new opponents yes he does get new transformations as the story mode progresses his latest transformation yes is super saiyan god but in the latest part hes in the future arc.. sorry this isn't a good explanation I skip the talking of the story mode this is pretty much all I know hopefully it helps. :)
