The first parts for the stage 3 build have arrived. there's a lot of work that needs doing to this car and it's gonna become a GTI killer. I also do a 0-60 time to see how fast this 1.4 TSI golf is before the stage 3 build is done and we're gonna compare it in a future video

You're doing everything I want to do to mine lol. Inshallah works out good for you cause I have heard these engines aren't that strong & the chains. Just some advice aswell, don't rag the gearbox too much, my 1st to 2nd shifts are a bit tougher to get in now and they stick at times, idk if its the clutch or box but yeah thought I'd tell you. I'm gonna go for an eco map soon aswell.

Yeahh u gotta be careful with these engines they're actually extremely good engines but they're also extremely specific so that then causes issues because 1 wrong thing and the whole engine can go. And because these are older cars you don't know how the last owner treated it. And yeah the gearboxes aren't that strong but I'm looking to get a stronger box to be able to take the power

does the maifold bolt straight on to the block? Also does the downpipe have to but custom made where it joins to the existing flex pipe? The oil and water lines have the same fittings?

Yeah there's alot of custom parts involved and a load of custom fabrication to make this work. There's also a big chance I'll blow the engine 😂 but like I said I'm sending this to the moon and when it's finished it's gonna be a on different levels

They made a custom y pipe for it it was all custom fabrication

Yo bro, have you ever had problems with the fuel injectors? My car literally started shaking and glow plugs light came in saying engine fault:workshop. Had this problem about twice now, wondering if it’s common in these cars? Mines a 1.6tdi, advised that the fuel injector keeps getting clogged or dirty or something? Just wanted to ask you bro

Change the fuel filter and run an injectors cleaner through it. Then run it on 2 tanks on v power and see how it responds

I've actually got it as my first car😂. I only got the golf as I learnt to drive in my brother's Mk5 golf and it was slightly higher power than my 1.4 so that's why I got the golf but for most people I'd suggest a polo as a first car and then golf second

Should’ve got the TTE290 turbo I have a stage 3 jetta 1.4 with it on and I pulled a 0-60 in 3.574 seconds on a slight grade. Amazing build otherwise dude. Us stage 3er consist of only a handful of people in the world.

I got mine mapped 2 days ago got same mods apart from mines lowered and full straight pipe 160bhp stage 1 just trying to find Intercooler for stage 2 bring it to 215bhp

Id suggest a backbox delete. A Res delete has a more raspy tone and also drones. I have a video on a backbox delete check that out and see what you think of it

There is no replacement for displacement, so i don't agree with you. The GTI is made to go fast, the 1.4 definately not.

Oh yeah having bigger displacement is better obviously but I'm just gonna push the 1.4 TSI to its limits. But pushing a 2.0 block to its limits would be 435bhp ish so obviously displacement would be better

It's not tuned right now bro but with the sports cat the mpg has dropped however that's because it hasn't been tuned in so the car doesn't know how to use it and the backbox delete didn't change the mpg at all. Once its tuned aslong as it's tuned by someone good it'll have better mpg than stock as it'll have a much smoother power curve which will make the car more efficient and more powerful

with the 0-60 how come you don't leave it in 2nd? I have the same car and for the quickest 0-60's I just leave it in second as it'll do 60 in second.

It can just about hit 60 in second however it's out of the power band after about 4.8k so depending on how perfect you get the shift and of you time it right then it'll actually work our a tiny bit quicker by going into 3rd. It's also because of my DV+ I don't have to wait for boost to build so I'm already on boost when I shift up

@@Fizzy.g Oh I see, yeah mine is bone stock so leaving it in second seems beneficial. Manufacturer claims 9.5 to 60 but I have done it in 9 and I recon if I nailed 1st to 2nd I could get an 8.9

Oh yeah performance wise mine shouldn't be a huge amount faster changing to 3rd for 60 is only beneficial if I can time it perfect and also get a perfect gear change otherwise its only like a tenth of a second quicker so it's not really that different anyway it could even just be in my head and maybe staying in second would be fast

If I had the money id love to go through stage 1 -> 2 and then 3 so I can appreciate the difference and power gains and also get used to having more power but I at 19 and as a student man's basically gotta sell a limb to afford that😂😂 but yh I guess I'll have to be careful and slowly ease in the power when I get it tuned so I don't end up wrapping it around a tree

Stage 2 is more or less a new downpipe, better intercooler and also a better diverter valve. Usually you'd get a better intercooler aswell but since ours are built in we're a bit limited as we cant change them unless we do a huge build and go all out on them. So honestly bro you're basically at stage 2 already I'd consider getting a better tune done to make out the parts you have as most people that tune 1.4 TSI don't tune it well and do a generic map as not many people know alot abt these engines

It doesn't hit 60 it hits abt 58 in 2nd at redline. On the Speedo it says 60 but the Speedo is set from factory to be abt 2 mph off the real speed

Nobody knows the limit but for what I'm doing 200bhp+ is already alot for a 1.4 that's more than a 2.0 l engine so there's a big chance I'm gonna blow it up😬😂

The car has a 4k rev limit when stationary but as soon as u move the car it should allow you to rev to redline (6.5k)

It's something different ennit bro and I'm doing it all myself so it's not as bad also I can get insured on this even with the mods and for a GTi with the mods I'd do to it it'll work out as alot more money so doing this actually costs alot less for me and I'll still get like 45+ mpg with it and over 210 bhp plus it's a Mk6 body rather than a Mk5 so it looks more modern

Yh bro I'm doing brakes on it aswell and I'm keeping stock fueling so then it'll still have 1.4 fuel consumption and it's gonna be a headache but it'll be worth it. It's a build no one's done before so there could be big issues but if it works out it'll be really good
