That was probably Aaravos crying after losing his Startouch Elf status and being imprisoned in his prison. We've seen Aaravos leaving the Mirror Room at some times, and that's probably where he goes after leaving. To the Prison Moon Nexus to have a good cry. It seems other Startouch Elves can warp to this area to comfort -or taunt- Aaravos, if they even care.

That Startouch Elf is known as "The Merciful One". And they actually appeared in "Infantis Sanguine". There were two statues "guarding" the Sea of the Castout. One was a "disgraced Aaravos" and the other was, and I quote (from the wiki)"The Merciful One lending a hand to a disgraced Aaravos." Petition to rename the Star Arcanum to "Starcanum" One like = one vote.

I've been rewatching the entire series in anticipation of having everything fresh for the newest season. It's honestly a lot better than I remember. The lower frame rate did make the first season look choppy and rough around the edges, but subsequent episodes really improved on that animation style. As for what I think about the latest teaser trailer, well, I just can't WAIT to get more Startouched elf lore! My theory is Aaravos and this new elf are related, and by that I don't mean they're just of the same race; I think they might be of the same bloodline. Startouched elves are rare after all. I think this elf might be a sibling of Aaravos and his actions will lead directly to their demise.

⁠@@CartoonUniverse I don’t necessarily believe he started out evil. There is more to his story than they have shown. All it takes to become a villain is one very bad day. The rest goes to there. Also it wouldn’t surprise me is his transformation to the fallen star was because of love. Only someone who has loved can truly understand the intricacies of the heart and mind a true master manipulator has to have known love to know hate. Also it’s doesn’t have to be romantic love. Love comes in all forms and shapes. Also they did mention that aaravos saw potential in the human race and maybe just maybe something happened that made go from someone who genuinely cared and helped humans to a manipulative mastermind. Ps no one is truly evil.

This is why he was crying: He was called to a meeting because apparently his daughter he called Unicorn because she had 1 horn had shown humans magic Aravos Swar his little girl had done nothing wrong but the council told him they would have mercy on him and gave him 2 choices the first one was let your little girl die or die with her Unicorn was so scared and then Aravos said that she will go he cried and told unicorn to close her eyes and listen to him. It is very sad 😢

My theory is that at one point Aaravos met and either fell in love with or befriended a human long before Zadia was split and humans were banished to the west. But something bad happened to the human, (hurt, sick, starved, killed etc…) and he believes they could’ve been saved easily with the elves magic but the elf and dragons policies of “no magic for humans and you’re beneath us” sealed her fate. And that broke him. So he went against his people and taught humans dark magic, we see in that flashback, that ancient human dark mage says he was gifted his staff/dark magic by someone powerful and that the humans were using it to improve their lives, but I bet that wasn’t enough, aaravos wants all the dragons and elves to suffer for taking the one earthly thing he loved, so he manipulated humans and spread more lies and chaos…it would also explain why he seems to have a soft spot for humans but disdain towards his own people.
