2 things that would be _AWESOME_ additions to the game. 1 - Being able to save multiple load-outs of your gear/droid. I _really_ like the customization aspect but I _don't_ like having to start from scratch anytime I want to make any changes. 2 - Why are we restricted to only 2 stances at a time? This makes no sense & it could be made a hell of a lot more fun than it already is if this restriction is removed. I would expect the ability to go from one stance into any other mid-combo to be part of the gameplay mechanics. If the devs insist that the game be played like this then how about adding it as an unlockable option for new game+? Other ideas are corrections to the customization system. Like, we should be able to choose different colored kyber crystals for both lightsabers. Add the red color to the party saber. Actually, the colors should be customizable. Not asking for a color wheel but being able to choose from how many/which colors your party sabre can change too. 1 more thing, I understand this technically isn't correct or canon but how about a _dark_ kyber crystal? The dark sabre generally had a white glow around it, that could also a matter of choice. Different colored dark sabers, affecting the color of their glow. So, if the rumors about DLC still coming for this game are true, I think all of these things would be simple for them to add to the game if they're still working on it. Of course all of that should be selectable for the customizable party saber.

Finally, the game runs better for me, but I still think there's room for more improvements. I can say that with my i7-12700F and RTX 3060 Ti, at native 1080p, Epic settings, without DLSS, and without Ray Tracing, the game runs "smoothly" between 60FPS and 70FPS. Sometimes it goes higher, other times lower. I reached certain areas in Koboh where it dropped to 40FPS for a few moments. Again, I notice an improvement, but I think it could be even better. However, I believe this is a flaw in the game itself, in how it was made.

the frame rate drops are due to force-loading (sideloading) HLODs (cliffs, buildings) via Blueprints scripts. they have greatly improved in patch 9. i will work on the frame time stability and clean up frame timing and texture sharpness... Respawn have also fixed the per texture LOD bias bug, sped up Blueprints and PhysX. game developers until UE 5.3(ish) really need to be aware UE's default settings are outright wrong. they were correct... 10 years ago, but now they cause hammering in the streamer pipeline. see Ultra Plus mods for how to fix this. UE 5.4 has hopefully addressed these issues

I needed to reinstall the entire game and update both the chipset and graphics drivers to fully benefit from the new patch's optimizations. I recommend the same steps, as I experienced system crashes prior to the reinstall and driver updates. Overall, I'm pleased with the performance, but I believe Respawn should transition the game to Unreal Engine 5.4, as the current engine is inadequate.

Using a 5700x paired with RTX 3070 I've noticed a big improvement. At high settings with textures set to epic I'm consistently getting 70-85 fps with DLSS set to Quality at 1440p. It will still dip to the low 50's in places around Koboh but it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. Nice that the shader compiling is gone too!

Great news! I would not say these performance improvements are "minor" at all. I may actually buy this next time it goes on sale. I'm glad I waited for them to sort out various issues. It was obvious the initial release was unacceptable.

I have a 5700 and a 5800x and I’ve found the random crashes during game frustrating as you start a fare way back and also the graphic shadows missing in certain areas especially the desert . Frame rate is up n down but better with FSR

The reason high end hardware is a problem is because this game is so CPU bound, that the gpu wasn't really stressed, and the cpu can't do all the other tasks it needs like loading data, while the game is maxing the cpu out. On low end hardware, the gpu is the bottleneck and that means the cpu has spare cycles, which usually means it won't stutter when asking for other information.

Thanks for making the comparison, nice video. The "fix" was the removal of denuvo, that's all. That's why the game has a higher fps.

Quick question. Was the Jedi Survivor that came out on Xbox One complete on disc (no download required to play through the game) unlike on the Xbox Series where only part of the game was on the disc?

@@Springjam406 anti theft for games, generally a bad practice since it massively tanks fps (root cause why games run badly) but every triple a developer puts it in the game thinking they will boost sales but in reality most people who pirate games 1 can’t afford it or 2 live in a country where 60 dollars is an impossible feat to make in a month even with adjustments to currency, in short they are removing it since this game isn’t apart of mainstream anymore and it has a smal following and they bleed a lot of money having denuvo license for their game

For me unfortunately not enough improvements, for reference I'm using a 6600 xt and have most settings on medium with a 1440p monitor but using FSR 2 at balanced. The pop in is much better, the shader loading thing is gone, the loading title menu when you open the game finally runs at more than 2fps which is nice. Sadly the holomap still runs at 12fps and ramblers reach still gets around 40fps, even if I turn everything to low with fsr 2 on ultra performance I only go up to 45fps. I get 60+ throughout the majority of areas so I wouldn't say that I need a new pc. Its nice they finally made another patch, but this is still not acceptable. Still love the game anyway, thanks for the update azzatru.

for me Coruscant is my "test" because thats where I've had the worst experience with FPS dropping as low as 10 without Frame generating on. I get around 30-40fps on Coruscant's beginning fight without FPS gen on, with its like 60-70. Im on epic graphics at 4k.

So far with Ray Tracing off I’m getting solid 60FPS with Ray Tracing walking around Koboh can be iffy… Played it on Series X 1080P loved it. With EA play I am playing it on PC with gamepass essentially free. It’s more than solid with Ray Tracing disabled which, of course I was playing anyway on the series X as I only have a 1080 P TV so I don’t really care for it. 1440P to play it again is a world of difference and I’m more than happy to do so if this holds up. This just goes to show that Ray Tracing even on PC is NEVER worth the performance hit in my opinion. If you want to use it then the games in question better be optimized to the T and warrant its use I.E. reflections on cars that’s about all I’ve ever enabled it for. Forza or Forbidden West but that game was optimized wonderfully.

This game still runs like crap, after the new update the game runs worse due to the shader copulation being removed. I have an RTX 4090 and 14900K 32 GB of ram. What the heck is going on. Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem. I'm going to try to reinstall my drivers maybe that could be that problem. Nvidia released an update during the same time.

Im going through a play through on the ps5 right now. I can confirm it can be a glitchy mess at most times but its still fun if you really like the series. I recomend putting on performance mode though cause videlity mode is unplayable.
