In isolation yes that’s true, but in context of the entirety of the New Testament it’s clear that elders need to be confronted publicly unlike other members of the church. Consider I Tim 5:20.

This story keeps getting more confusing as each person releases their story . Who has the correct information? The way I look at and process it is who has the most to gain or lose from what they say . The reporter the needs to story that gains the interest of their readers. Also are they catering to a particular audience. Then the blogger who also has an audience he needs to get interested in the story and please . Lastly a friend that posts that has his own biases and emotions wrapped up in the conversation. The friend seems to have the most to lose just by coming out as a friend of a disgraced church leader. There are probably many real and some imagined reasons for not coming out with it all right now . Most have been addressed at some point in time. One that hasn’t much is the current mental health of the folks involved. I can’t imagine how she must feel about this. It must be painful to hear what is being said or to hear the shushed whispering behind her back. I will just say pray for everyone

Hi Underdogtheology. I apologize for the comment. I was gonna delete it and may still but wanted to say that I am occasionally “wont” to make a sarcastic comment here and there. I know that much of what you do is commentary and observations of issues in the church and among Christian leaders etc. How you go about that is obviously up to you and I’ve agreed with many points you make here and on other videos. I trust that you go about it prayerfully and with the goal of edification, restoration and so on. I’ve heard you say this and I believe you. I personally struggle with my attitudes about things I observe in the church and I’m probably better off not saying them publicly, though there is definitely a place for it. Anyway I am sorry for the comment and attitude behind it. All the best.

LOL, you're kidding. You weren't paying attention then. Go and do the reading, and comeback. Read the three other stories that were published last week. Heck, go read mine and you'll have no understanding of what really happened. There's so many voices on this that it's difficult for anyone to really pinpoint it. I have thousands of tweets on the Lawson scandal, but it doesn't seem that much can be fully trusted except for a few. Archer's article here provides no information, except for that which contradicts the original reports.
