When I first started playing, I was amazed that the player didn't keep a copy of the lore found in the game as a personal journal for reference. Something quite common in so many other games. Pages with undiscovered lore could be left blank, giving players something to seek out while doing commendations. Really seems like a no brainer.

Maybe the journals you have already collected will be available to read. I know that I love to read journals I find, but I do not always have the time to do it because enemies like merfolk or most of all, players. I know I could easily find them online and read them there, but it is not as fun.

I'm curious because this idea forces us to reevaluate several of the other glyphs scattered across the Sea. The Crab paintings that show the Ancients plying it with drink, for example. Is it a depiction of the Ancients finding a way to pacify the Ocean Crawlers, perhaps? Maybe even turn them against their fellows, given the 'crab duel' paintings. We did just start finding a curious amount of strange potions among their shrines... Such an interesting avenue of investigation. I'm very intrigued with what we may uncover.

So the Gold Hoarder's throne is encrusted with red, blue and green gems, likely mermaid gems. The throne and the other structures on The Shores of Gold/Tribute Peak were built by the ancients long before the time of the Gold Hoarder. It's clearly an important location to them, having the most complex ancient structures it was probably their capital, maybe they even referred to it as "heaven" in their language. So I assume what Falcore is suggesting here is that the ancients brought whatever/whoever the Glimmerfish is to the SoG and may have even built the throne for it specifically. Edit: Another thought I've had is that the Ancients may have just killed the Glimmerfish and taken it's gems to use in the throne. The story about the snake and the warrior says "the warrior threw the snake into the stars where he remains". This is quite similar language to "the ancients took the glimmerfish to heaven", and we know the snake was killed in that story so...

I was led to believe that the gold hoarder is “glimmer fish” at the first look, but now I’m not so sure. If glimmer fish was one of the merfolk, then could it have been the warrior after his transformation. It fits because the same power he used to transform himself is used to transform the merfolk. It ties up a lot of loose ends in that regard.

Great video as always! Oooh I was wondering about that. But I pictured glimmer as more like the Pirate Lord, but in the Ancients time. Another curious one about the war with the Old Mother and the warrior needed fetching for his arrows: "Warrior told Proud Eagle to give up eight of his feathers, or they would go to war. Eagle refused, of course, and tore at Warrior with his sharp talons, but it was no use. Warrior fled with his golden prizes! He dropped one feather as he fell back to earth, and it’s still in the stars." Could the Proud One be the king of the Ancients? The sharp talons his soldiers, but what were the feathers? Like an elite guard? Whatever they were, the Warrior threatened war with the Proud One over them. Was there a Civil War too? Between the ones that saw the krakens as a threat, and the ones that worshiped the Old Mother and didn't want to harm her?
