CLARIFICATION: He says "hit L once" to enter the "Koraidon" box. This only works if you are in box 1. The "Koraidon" box is between boxes 32 and 1. You may have to push L or R multiple times to navigate to it if you aren't in box 1.

If you put the cloned raidon in your 2nd slot you reduce the amount of button presses to a minimum, both raidons will just swap with each other instead of going to the last slot in the party. This way the amount of presses per dupe is a fair bit lower and thus faster. EDIT: If you really, really want to minimize time you should have 2 mons in your party so that you only need to press up and right to get into your boxes after you selected the "return to ride form" button.

Soon as you dupped Karaidon once, you'll never need to worry about hitting + , exiting the menu, riding around or having to catch glitch to start the dupe. You can get back to dupping in seconds, just make sure you switch to ride with whatever item. Also, if you want to start dupping a new item, just change held item in the party menu, switch to ride and then be amazed to dupe without delay.

Not true. I don't have to do anything. Just to clarify. I can remove the item the clone Miraidon has and place a new item on him to clone. Aka Missingno for some ppl. Not everyone knows who Missingno is. Back From Gen 1. Just place new item on the clone Ride Pokemon and rinse repeat the method of placing him in ride mode. Boxes. X twice for white boxes. Then L if you did box 1. Press once. Then place item in box. For example I was doing Big nugget first. Then by accident instead of going to place in ride form. I by accident place item in bag. Cuz button pressing fast. Then smart head. Decided to place another different item. Aka Master Ball. Yes it works. He's already cloned. You don't need to do anything else.

In regards to getting rid of the spare Koridon. You can clone multiple items in one session by giving Koridon different items and continuing to do the dupe process. However when your done you can’t get rid of the cloned Koridon unless it is holding the same item that the original Koridon started with. Hope this helps anyone who thinks they have a clone stuck, or makes it to where you don’t have to do the whole process again to get Koridon back in the box.

As a programmer I can explain what is mostly happening here. While im not sure what da f is going on with the capture send to box dupe, I can assume the ONLY check to make sure Mi/Ka-raidon's do not go to box is that menu, because you deny the menu fast enough, the system assumes you declined your decision, but the processing power isnt good enough and sends you to the next frame anyways bypassing the denial. The box glitch in this video, sending Mi/Ka-raidon to ride form would override the previous instance of "Mi/Ka-raidon" from the index array into "ride array". Rather than checking and updating all instance's of the Pokemon within the account data, its only pushing the data one way with no other validation. When doing glitch's of this nature its basically abusing the codes processing order to brute force override the otherwise validation checks. You could assume that this may also be utilized* to teach Pokemon moves they otherwise cannot learn. EDIT: incorrect word

Discovered this about a week ago when I caught a pokémon and wanted my koraidon to go back into the ride form so my new pokemon was in the party, but my hand slipped on my pro controller and i had bypassed the screen “you can’t send koraidon to your boxes”. If you somehow have Miraidon/Koraidon still stuck in your party even when you go to ride form with this duping, register your Miraidon/Koraidon to a Battle Team (same menu as picking up the held item to dupe it), then exit out, that should fix it for you. Thanks for sharing this!

Only way I was able to do it was use another switch with another account, put cartridge in BUT I disconnected internet completely from the switch before I inserted the cartridge. Now it’s always going to run on version 1.0 when I play. Works fine as long as your save file doesn’t have anything to do with v1.1 Anyways hope this helps. Honestly if you only have one switch, I highly recommend just deleting your save file and all update data all together and start over. This glitch is well worth the trouble of playing the game all over again. Plus v1.0 has all the available glitches so you can cheese your way through the entire game in about a day or two using the OP golduck pit method. -Waffa CZC admin

This was not mentioned on the video @blaines but you can change items in between to continue duplicating. For example, after selecting to get the pokemon to be ride again, you exchange the item for the one you want to continue duplicating. Also being on this step you can save and you can continue after starting the gane later on. Time saver definitely.

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet but a lot of these steps are unnecessary. You don’t need to give an item to miraidon before duplicating him and you don’t need to mount him before catching a Pokémon. Just put him in battle form and catch a Pokémon, do the a+b thing and boom, done. Stick him in your party and dupe whatever you want.

If you go off and play for a bit but leave the leg pkmn in 6th spot with held item, this trick seems to be able to be done without the setup being done all again. Also, you can change the item that it is holding and resume doing the item dupe trick with different items without having to reset the process, just in case some people didn't know that yet!

Hey brothers, Blaines mentioned that he's using BOX 1. The special box is supposed to be BOX 0. so when he presses L once he goes from box 1 to box 0. If you used box 2 for example you have to press L twice to get into the legend box. simple as that hope this helps gl

You can also switch items that the party Miraidon or Koraidon is holding, then convert to ride form, AND THEN do the method and it’ll ask to take the new item.

you dont need to get rid of the clone. you can forever keep it in your 6th slot or your box and use it as a quick item clone whenever you need. you can switch the item its holding too

Does the original Koraidon remain in the ride area of the menu after pressing + or is it the clone thats moving down there and kicking the OG to a box? Do you want to ensure the OG is the one you put back in bike form? Im worried about having a cloned one as my bike messing up my game

So my koraidon got stuck in my team and I couldn’t remove it, if you have this problem as well, got catch a Pokémon and try to replace koraidon with it in your party, pressing A B like you are trying to dupe the old way. Gets your cloned koraidon into the box where you can then release him and you can then switch your real koraidon back and forth, hope this helped someone!

An easy way I found to get rid of the duped ride pokemon is to only have 5 pokemon in your party, including the duped ride pokemon, and then hit A on your pokemon in the riding spot.

For those querying about whether this is patched or not: It’s partially patched, you cannot dup your legendary anymore, however if you have any dupped legendaries, you are still able to the second part of the method where you get the item from the legendary in your boxes after riding it. Those who still have a dupped koraidon/miraidon OR have automatic software updates off prior to the patch release are still able to do this.

Disable auto updates and you will have no reason to rush and all the time in the world to do the glitch. It just means you can't play online when the new patch drops.... unless the new patch doesn't fix it then you are also chilling.
