They are also neighbors in Redmond, WA! I think Microsoft sees any of its games its published or characters it owns on the Switch as a means to help promote future games they could appear on future Xbox platforms. I don’t believe Microsoft even sees Nintendo as a competitor. Otherwise Banjo, Lucky, maybe even Minecraft would all be Xbox exclusive.

I absolutely loved this game on Xbox One X, and felt it was very underrated due to lack of exposure on a console that doesn't typically cater to this genre. To Switch owners that are curious but are fans of 3d platformers, definitely give this one a try. It's a game with a decent length with light collectathon elements that avoids being tedious or feeling padded, with enjoyable level designs full of bright colors and lush environments that have a bit to explore without being big enough to get lost, with a modest difficulty level that will keep avid gamers from getting bored while being simple enough to let the player feel relaxed as they go thru the game. Controls take some slight getting used to with certain jumps, but overall it controls well. Hopefully the Switch port performs well...Xbox One ran it at 30fps while the X Enhanced ran it at 60fps. Interested to see if Switch can run without framerate issues. It's not a Mario Odyssey replacement, but it's a worthwhile addition to the Switch library. I would say $39.99 or lower is a good price for what you get.

Looks like we're now officially back in the Rare Golden Age of Gaming. A very promising looking Yooka-Laylee, a much more exciting looking Super Lucky Tale, Banjo's name hitting like a meteor on a Nintendo platform. Gaming's been feeling dull and redundant for the past decade and I think this shift was one we've needed and for the one's who've stuck around this long the one we deserved. Because I swear the fox runs on all 4's and not 2's like this and if it's a completely new game. You know if it'll be on PC as well? Not really, plenty of games are published by a console maker, only to later appear on other platforms later on. Sony published Nioh, yet it released on PC, Microsoft published Rise of the Tomb Raider, still went to PS4. Just because a console maker publishes a game, doesn't mean they own it.

So, the original version was alright, they did tweak the gameplay and levels here and there, even adding in more dynamic cutscenes and more music. People would dismiss this as just "A Kids game," but honestly, it's pretty decent, I certainly had fun playing it, even some of the puzzles really got me scratching my head

Super lucky's tale on xbox was a decent 3D platformer, but the only problems was how short it was and how easy it can be to break the levels like jumping over walls. Its a better game to play than yooka-laylee tbh.
