Thanks for presenting this. It's very pretty. A couple questions... 1. You used 12 stitches...how many stitches (i.e., multiples of stitches) do I use to expand it for a wider scarf or blanket? 2. How do you bind off for this particular stitch? Thanks again!

The green example is so pretty with the two shades of green--is that done with intarsia, and carrying the second color up the back?
@thecrochetlady4 жыл бұрын
yes it's intarsia! thank you

Very clear tutorial for a cool stitch! Thanks - I'm definitely going to try this one out. I do have a universal request for ALL Tunisian crochet tutorials: Please show the BACK of the stitch pattern! Unfortunately, most Tunisian crochet instructions - whether video or written - do not show an image of what the back looks like. Makes me wonder why - is the back somehow an "unclean" thing, which must never be looked at, or even spoken of? 😉 Well, I suppose we Tunisian Crocheters are a brave, adventurous lot, who relish making a swatch of anything just for the thrill of discovering the secret back of the pattern. I know I do... Thank you - I've subscribed to your channel!

ya know, I do appreciate you bringing that to my attention and I will definitely do more to incorporate that

Applying this to a "mile a minute" style blanket (blanket made from separately crocheted strips if your term is different than mine): Could you join the strips together while working to gain your last (12th for the tutorial) loop? And would you use both end vertical bars in joining or just the front vertical bar? I ask because all I've done with Tunisian is the tss diamond pattern. This is my first time branching out with Tunisian.

Hi there! I'm new to crocheting with the Tunisian needle and I have never knitted before. How do I end this scarf?
@thecrochetlady6 жыл бұрын
hey there. there are so many ways to finish but the easiest way for a beginner is to bind off at the top with a slip stitch, in the corner just after the bind off start off with 3 sc. then proceed with a sc in each space on the edge, making 3 sc in each corner. follow the same technique until you reach the bind off start. then you may want to add another stitch. you can experiment with the spacing which may require frogging at least once or twice. thank you kindly for watching:)

Is there a written set of instructions somewhere for this? I can't keep up with the video, and despite start-stop-start-stop of video, I get pretty lost...Also don't know how I could duplicate it without coming back to the video....?

hi and thank you kindly for watching. there have been a couple of questions about this video so i will remake it and i appreciate your question.

It seems to be a 2-row repeat. Row 1: modified double simple stitch (go through the top horizontal bar as well as the vertical bar). Row 2: skip 1, 2 modified double TSS in the next, 1 front post modified TSS in the next. Repeat until end of row.
