got a link to the rod ends you used or just the length you used? also does this make the front wider then with the stock a arms?
@BuildItBetter3D2 жыл бұрын
Rod ends are just m3 holes 19.5 long. I cut the rod at 75mm. Different parts might need slightly different lengths. It will make the front a little wider than stock.
@robertreynolds6427 Жыл бұрын
Question, where can I get the steering rods and ball links? Thanks
@BuildItBetter3D Жыл бұрын
Just search m3 rod end. Any will work. You’ll also need some m3 threaded rod to make the steering linkage. It has to be cut to length, each sled is slightly different so I can’t give a measurement.

Anyone know what size bolts I need to use for the upgraded suspension?
@gibsonf062 жыл бұрын
Same m3 screws for mounting to the frame, and then about a 35mm to go into the knuckle through the rod ends

love this mod was wondering do you remember the steering rod ends lengths for the little connection?
@BuildItBetter3D Жыл бұрын
There different for each build. I connect one end and then place the other in position so I can mark the rod and then cut it.

The new system looks much better. But I would advise you not to use the metal rod ends. Most of them have play in them from the beginning and if not it probably will soon. You can see them fail bigtime on yours too. the brass retaining rings just come out. I have used both metal and original plastic onces on my rc vehicles and the metal ones mostly suck and the original Tamiya's keep going year after year.

@@BuildItBetter3D noticed the new front arms are very weak with not much material where they attach to the frame, broken them multiple times just going over some bumps
@BuildItBetter3D2 жыл бұрын
There is a mod of them that is supposed to be stronger now in the mods folder by ryan. I had designed these with the same material as the originals but perhaps changing the geometry has put more stress on that location.

I’m not familiar with the anycubic so I looked it up. Looks like it’s build area is big enough. You just need to be sure the build plate is 200mm X 200mm or bigger and you’ll be good to go.
