For some reason when I am almost done with the cross-sections points everything stretches out and kind of zooms out. What can it be? (sorry this comment should be in the tutorial #2)

This is incredible, I've just started making something similar myself. My biggest question is how did you make the outrigger feet descend and ascend in to and away from the outrigger arms? I was thinking hydraulics for myself but mechanically would probably be a little bit easier
@BuildItBetter3DАй бұрын
I made actuators using n20 geared motors and sone end stops. They’re driven by an esc. The case was 3D printed. You could also use the little 12volt linear actuators you find online, nice thing with those is they already have limit switches so you don’t have to wire your own.

Hey nice work! Btw Is there a way to just change Pitch/Power/Speed characteristics on an existing aircraft of xplane 11/12? Been working on that for 4 hours, but in vain.
@BuildItBetter3D2 ай бұрын
You can open any existing plane in planemaker and make changes to the flight model. It can be a quick and dirty or as complex as you like. Quick power would be adding power to the engine. pitch, assuming you mean on the propeller, can also be adjusted in the propeller section. speed can be a result of those changes or you could adjust how much drag the aircraft has or streamline parts of it.
@dasearch99862 ай бұрын
@@BuildItBetter3D I want to practice Pitch/Power Flying on the C172 using the below values in clean configuration and at any altitude, but can't figure out what to change or in which submenus. Guess I'm too stupid for this. 1. Horizontal Flight: 2200 RPM, 0° Pitch, 108 kts 2. Climb: 2500 RPM, +7° Pitch, 85 kts 3. Descent: 1700 RPM, -2° Pitch, 108 kts
@BuildItBetter3D2 ай бұрын
That’s more flying practice than changing settings. If the aircraft doesn’t meet the exact numbers you’re looking for there are a lot of factors that affect that, including aircraft weight, weather and atmospheric conditions. I can’t give any specifics on how to achieve what you’re aiming for.

@BuildItBetter3D2 ай бұрын
It’s been a while since I’ve worked with x-plane. There may be a brightness setting for the monitor, or it could be your material or background color. I think my background for screens was solid black. I don’t remember exactly how it all worked.

@@BuildItBetter3D I'm gonna be honest the instructions are hard to follow. There is nothing about the cab. I'm telling ya if you made a how 2 step by step it would do great. This is the best one I have seen but I cant figure out what to print and not print.
@BuildItBetter3D3 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear they are hard to follow. There is an entire manual dedicated to the cabs, Keny_Assembly. In the manuals at the beginning of each section you will find a parts and print settings table with how many and how to print. You will also find the purchased parts table with all items that need to be purchased for that section such as screws or bearings. I will think about making a video, however I follow my manuals when I build also as I can't remember screw sizes for everything. You can also join the discord channel, link is in your instructions or description of this video, you can get a lot of help there with the build.
