Wrap the antenna around the undercarriage as it would have been when you bought it. I have a Syma 031G and I unravelled the antenna and wrapped it around the tail. Done a radio check before flight and nothing happened. As soon as I wrapped it around the undercarriage the Helicopter worked and there was no loss of signal. Syma Helicopters are good fun and very easy to fly. I'm going to mount a camera under mine to do a bit of aerial photography.

wrap the antenna on the heli around one side of the landing gear..

After the first couple of flights and heavy landings which may occur if the helicopter loses power or radio signal) the legs on the skids broke in several places. I was going to make legs with springs in them but it would involve time and weight so I just made legs out of aluminum strips. But now I have a problem working out where to place the antenna.

do this get an ariel tube mount it on the skids fed ariel through tube let hang,modify the tx by putting a 7.4 li-po in it,finally get a longer ariel for tx thats it folks works brilliant

I got the opposite result to what is listed below. wrapped, 10-15 meters range, Unwrapped and hanging loose, 35-45 meters range. But! Do not wrap the wire anywhere near the tail support booms, they're metal and will attenuate the signal. And unlike one reply below, a loose wire antenna is NOT directional, it is Omnidirectional.

The best way to solve your problem it's sending the heli back to the store you bought it...and get a new one. CARAAAAAJOOOOOO!

Does anyone know what the flashing LED light on the circuit board indicates. On my 033G it is constant red when turned on. Then when you turn the controller on it stays constant red until you move the rotor control lever.Then the LED starts flashing red about once a second until the control lever is pulled down again (no lift). My problem is that the rotors will not respond at all - they remain stationary! I have plugged and unplugged connections trying to find a loose socket but no luck!Broke!

Let your antenna wire dangle free and bare about an inch off the end.

Yeah it's the controller mine came with a bad one too luckily I have another one from a smaller helicopter by syma

The first thing I did was put the antenna straight to the tail. Turned on the transmitter and heli, nothing...... point is, "leave the antenna wire where it is", or it wont work....

No es problema de transmisor, es la antena del Heli como la tiene dispuesta de manera incorrecta alineada al tail boom, este roba señal. Recomiendo dejar la antena libre colgando del heli y así consigue muy buen alcance.

Operator error, leave the antenna wire as it was when you bought it.

you can not have the antenna along the tailboom for some reason

controller . i think you just need to solder the connection from board to antena

A dish or Yagi is directional. A monopole aerial (same as the one on the transmitter,..) is not directional.
