SMALL OMP M2 Scale helis - BIG fun and performance!!

Almost every week I see a new small RC scale heli model but many of them have features I personally don't like: 6G stability, GPS, optical flow, altitude hold, auto take off- and landing buttons. But I want to fly my helis actively by myself. So I got myself two scale fuselages for my OMPHOBBY M2 V2's offered by "Microheli". A Hughes 300 and a EC-145 fuselage. Both are fitting as well for the newer M2 EVO. My small Scale-Helis are almost performing like the stock OMPHOBBY M2. They feel the same, I fly them with my Radiomaster TX 12 mkII radio and I am more than happy. More detailled info to both scale helis and as well about how to buld them in the videos linked below!

well done...your flying is really coming along...your more confident with orientation. Landing is always a problem with these smaller ones...i put mine into self levelling mode to land as it drops the revs and comes in slowly....if you hit the tail motor off the ground i think it can burn its electronics out on the motor...happened to me a few times on the m1.

@andyMSH700 Thank you very much for your kind words, Andy! Yes, with the direct driven tail motors you have to be careful. I am lucky, on all my 5 M2's of all generations and my 2 M's the tailmotors (and the main motors) are still the first! And I am really flying a lot. Almost every day! Best greetings!!!

Really enjoy your flight. Very stylish. My father is on the air ambulance crew Ec135 and bulko and im slowly getting him into the hobby...does the M2 have stable mode ? Thanks

@OliverJP-c6g Hi Oliver! Thank you very much for your kind words! Great that your father is on a ambulance crew!! Regards Stability mode: Yes the M2 has stability mode but if I could give you my advise: I recommend not to use stability mode. I used it for two months and had to "unlearn" flying with stability mode. In this mode you have to give very big and strong cyclic stickinputs to move the heli in ANY direction. As soon you let the stick go, the heli is leveled by the electronics. Something a manually controlled (Full size and RC collective pitch) never does. So I recommend everybody to JUST learn to hover first. Then starting to move and stop the heli. This way was my second attempt. I wished I knew this from the start! @r7_guy941 Hi! I am right now waiting for a new TX and it will be a FrSky X14S. She will hopefully arrive on Monday. My actual Radiomaster TX12 mkII was suddenly broken: I had signal losses and unfortunately 3 crashes with 3 different helis (and RX)... And the TX gives Failsave alarms... I never got to grips with Edge TX, so I hope I will like FrSky's ETHOS operation sytem more. It;s supposed to be much simpler to use! Please stay tuned! There will be updates! Best Greetings!
