I foresee that in the more distant future that a device that can support amber/white/blue LED strobe in one device will be a thing, as well as having the audio components support both low frequency, 3k, and some kind of standard 1k tone in various different patterns. Possibly a compact speaker strobe or something. Also, albeit not common now, I can see that addressable and intelligent NA will become a future reality (which could be useful for pinning down a troubled device instead of hunting a device down in a sea of devices within a given circuit). I am curious to see what the future holds but I can say that these devices will become more simpler to deal/manage/maintain with than before.

People didn't like the xenon L-series when they first came out either. The problem is people seem to forget that these are a life safety device their primary function is to be effective at signalling a fire alarm. Nice video. What you said about enthusiasts hating on the design is quite true. When Wheelock first released the Eluxa, I hated on it but don’t mind it now. I originally thought these were gonna have something similar to Wheelock’s solution, having a separate selection for T3 and T3/T4 with T3/T4 being chosen via muted/unmuted sync signal. However, now I think given the FCP setting, that Honeywell will release some sort of wired addressable mounting base (and update SWIFT bases) that will send the T3/T4 and candela information to the alarm. Although, I do wonder what would happen if you powered the alarm using a silenced sync signal. My guess is it will only flash, but who knows?
