I 100% agree!! And everything about this scene felt SO GOOD. You can feel David Tennant's reaction was genuine excitement. The beautiful music, the Doctor running around like a kid in a toy store... THE ROUND THINGS CHANGING COLORS!! The whole thing is just so feel-good 🥰🥰🥰

I saw a post on Instagram once that seemed to show that RTD was actually inspired by 12's TARDIS interior! It was my favorite too until this one. I wish Thirteen had had a TARDIS like this one!

The problem with Jodie's was that it was so dark inside so you never saw beyond the console or any of the room itself. The TARDIS interior's so far (from 2005 onward) have been all really lit up and you see it all.

Finally the TARDIS looks like a spaceship again. A concept designers avoided until the later part of the Moffat era. Now it finally feels like a modern version of the classic interior. I never thought they would top the Capaldi set but this may do if they improve the decorations.

They've got money, but not "Design and build a fancy new TARDIS for 3 episodes" money. Honestly my one complaint is that I wish they'd had David use Jodie's or rebuilt some of the original (far less expensive) set from 9 and 10's runs for Tennant to use so that Ncuti's incarnation was the one that got the reveal/reaction.

I kinda think that this TARDIS Interior sticks very closely to Peter Brachacki's original design, I mean like sure it is curved and lacks the random furniture and objects from different time periods, but it did have a hexagonal console and pulsating roundels. Well almost, like from 0:35-0:48 the upper ones circle around and the rest can change color.

What makes this hurt a little bit is that by the end of the specials, he’ll regenerate again after being back for such little time in his own lifespan again. Unless it’s a time jump situation and the 14th Doctor spends years going on adventures that we just don’t see before the 15th Doctor comes along (like how the 11th Doctor would have years of adventures taking place in between episodes)

Well, there was a period of time between the clifftop scene from Jodie to him bumping into Donna on earth without the usual regeneration sickness so maybe he did have a bit of travelling in his quest to find answers about his face. But I think as a whole he would be the shortist living incarnation. Probably in-universe about a week from his point of view.

The tenth incarnation only lasted about 2 years in-universe, which is why 11 was the Doctor's youngest looking regeneration it was the last one ( at the time) so he wanted to make it count.

But such big console room doesn't make any sense because there's just a lot space that can't be used. In fact it's even more dangerous to be in that way, because now if you crash and fall out of console room platform you just might break something. Before only 11 Tardis had a platform like that, but it wants that high... And lastly, considering that Tardis's ability to dematerialise is depends on space inside(like when 11 said that deleting certain rooms will make the tardis leave the universe and enter his universe in episode with Tardis becoming woman), so having that big room just makes it less practical. And unfortunately there was only like 5 watchable episodes from Disney, the best were with Tennant...

I don't like this interior much... Because it is too futuristic. The Type 40 Tardis has always been a bit old-fashioned with all the steampunk stuff and coppery interior. That's what the Tardis has always been about, and if you're going to change the design so much, you might as well have added a new setting, like the Doctor switching to the new Tardis. It's too big and beautiful, but it has an unsettling atmosphere.
