I think you're confusing Tom Baker for Colin Baker. Colin Baker was extremely arrogant in real life as he was on set, to everyone. He held up production by coming in when he chose, not when he was needed. He assumed he was untouchable until the producers got tired of it and flat out fired him. This is why Sylvester Mccoy was introduced in Mark of the Rani, without a proper regeneration sequence. Colin Baker refused to act for his own demise.

They got rid of him cause they didn’t how he played character which was a bit arrogant and rude but (for me at least) a great way to play the character. he didn’t act in his regeneration scene cause why would he? He got fired. So he was still a little bit salty from that

@CrusherX1000 my sources are BBC and I met Colin Baker myself years ago before the cancelation. Colin Baker was rude to his peers and rude to his fans. Connecticut Public Television recorded most of the event. Go watch it. Over the years he's mellowed out. As for Tom Baker, to be honest he was always my favorite till David Tennant came along, so I have two favorites now. But as for Tom Bakers behavior on the set, I have no information because I never thought to ask, and his leaving I can't discuss due to strict NDA off the record I must follow. I can say his behavior wasn't ever brought up though. I definitely will look into it. I only state what I have seen. Not repeat what others tell me as that's how false rumors start.

Honestly I would LOVE it if Big Finish could have their audio dramas officially animated. Like those lost episodes BBC animated, but so much content they could expand on. Especially for actors who were recast. The ones including John Hurt for example, since he offered his vocal skills before he passed. So having those dramas animated would be a great way to honor him.

"reckless and arrogant" Perfectly describes 10, let's not forget that he once decided to make himself ruler of time. His whole arc was about him becoming more arrogant eventually leading to his own death as punishment for his reckless abandon and self-importance. I mean in his debut episode he deposed Harriet Jones, thus robbing Britain of it's golden age and helping to usher the master into power.

I can see where you’re coming from, in that he always had the tendency to become reckless and arrogant *when left on his own* . Donna summed it up perfectly when she said “Find someone. Because sometimes I think you need someone to stop you.” Much of Ten’s arc was showing glimpses of what he *could* become without his companions to ground him in humanity.

You can really tell Tom Baker is past 80 in this. He doesn't really sound like he's giving a performance, just saying his lines. Aw well, I'm sure he did his best. I don't think many of us will be working in any manner at that age.

Beautiful as always! I wish they would do animation on these, I’m not a fan of audio only, but with some nice animation I’d work through them. I don’t have a visual imagination, so listening to stories doesn’t bring much of anything to the mind’s eye for me. Which is why I’ve never listened to any of these.

I am a bit the same. Davros was a good one as it basically was just dialogue between him and the Doctor. I don't need the animation to be genius to enjoy it. I think Big Finish should have released this complete with audio as an item one could buy. I think Josh has created something special here. It is the Doctor's interactions that are most important, not effects.

THE secret is that series 1 & 2 of new Who is about the birth of our Doctor. And that series 3 & 4 is about the birth of the Master in the same fashion as series 1 and 2. Series 5-7A is really about how the original TARDIS came to be. Series 7b-9 is about how our Doctor became the Doctor. Series 7b-10 is about how the Master ascended. Series 3 - ongoing is about how the Timelords got split up into two opposing factions; 1 defending thier fate and the other trying to prevent thier fate. All new who is about how our mankind from the classic (era) whoniverse is becoming the new (Doomsday/Big bang) whoniverse rulers over time.
