I liked this season, I preferred the first 2, but I really liked this one too. My favorite version of Aquaman

And this is when the maturity starts.

I don't know why people told you season 3 wasn't good because it was great. Season 2 was better in some ways, but I love Season 3. It gets really good.

Lots of folks didn’t enjoy the direction the show took, which did include a particularly loud minority that decried the social commentary being more blatant… The crew had less restrictions on content because of HBO Max compared to being more “kid-friendly”. There is a budget issue though, but they worked around it as best they could for these two seasons…

7:50 I've mentioned it before but Oracle is Barbara Gordon who is the first Batgirl who was in season 2 and briefly appeared in season 1. She and Dick Grayson are one of DC's endgame relationships such as Superman and Lois Lane and Green Arrow and Black Canary. In the comics Barbara was paralysed by the Joker which confined her to a wheelchair and forced her to become Oracle. Batwoman who you briefly saw is not the same character. Batwoman is Kate Kane, Bruce Wayne's cousin.

So just so you know about some differences in character designs and if some voice actors sound a bit older, It's because the show was revived after the second season years after it had ended.

Here's a nice easter egg for season 3 and 4. If you take the first letter of every title, it spells out a message related to the season.

My final word on the Wally thing: I don’t begrudge you not liking that choice. Just hope you don’t assume it was done in malice; they didn’t kill him off because of any dislike… But that’s all I will say on that. On the time skips, those were definitely always a planned feature of the series regardless of what some folks have claimed. The allegation that Season 2 having a 5-year jump was an adjustment to being cancelled, is *factually* incorrect as they were not cancelled until partway through that one. It did however get an episode cut from 26 to 20, which they had to adjust to. As for Season 3, they definitely took advantage of the context of the show’s revival - everyone who watched it originally being grown, not being restrained by Cartoon Network’s censorship (or having to sell toys) - to set up a more mature storyline with *showing* a child being killed… A lot of choices get criticised but I honestly love this season, it might be my overall favourite personally.
