If you're willing to pay more for a few new features you should wait. If you're fine with the current Model Y and what it offers, buy now. Reason being is that their priced very fairly and there's some great interest rates and the Tax Credit. (This may not exist next year) You either wait more to pay more and get more or you get it now and save money. Why are all these nerds using "Model Y Juniper"? Like how much of a geek do you have to be in an attempt to be COOL by using "Internal Code" names LoL

I wish the cars had a radar or lidar. Not confident at all that the cars cameras can see much better than me when there is thick fog ahead.

Cameras won't definitely see ahead with fog. For full self driving it's a mistake not to have radar/lidar. I think this means that Tesla is far away for autonomous driving. They will come to theirs senses when they're close and they realise that they need lidar
