Jack saying "I am kind too" was adorable! I loved this format, it is really helpful to see a curriculum in action :)

He reminds me of my daughter. She's always asking me if she has to read it out loud. She'd rather read to herself and then just answer it. LA is not her favorite subject even though she's very good at it. This is so helpful to see. Thank you!

We went ahead and got this level. We are doing it alongside AAR 2 but we may drop AAR. My daughter is excited to do her "red book" and not so excited for AAR. My anxious momma heart just worries about TGTB being as thorough as AAR. We also deal with things not sounding quite like the phonetical sounds. We are country people from south eastern US so our accent throw things off lol.

It's great to have AAR to refer to if there's a rule you can't explain. They are very thorough!

To my french ear, those oo sounds sounded exactly the same 😂. My poor English kids will forever talk with a French accent

It's amazing how strong an influence accents have. There's always a raging debate over several things in homeschool groups because accents make words sound so different!
