New TKX Transmission RIPS! First Passes at PIR

I finally got to try out my new TKX transmission, and it is working great. At the same time when installing the tranny, I had the rear end built by Kaiser Performance, so when returning to the track, the car felt like a different beast. The 8.8" was upgraded to 31 spline Quick Performance axles with a Strange spool that Ben ran. Also had the axle tubes welded w/ 9" axle ends + full bearing kit with crush sleeve eliminator. McLeod Twin-disc clutch. Shoutout Modern Driveline for providing such an awesome kit, and I can't wait to see how quick we can get on this little 302! Stay Tuned!

It's actually good for the front end to stretch. Look up long travel suspension.

Bracket racing is all light and stripe.... Cut a light, never dial more than you can cover and don't be afraid to dump people at the stripe. Practice makes perfect

Seems like you are short shifting 3rd, check your logs to see your shift points, nice runs

congrats on new PB! I think you can leave and shift a little higher, quick question on your twin disc, how long did you do a break in before hitting the track? Got a McLeod RXT to install but I don't want to go directly to the track and mess it up but my car is a strip car so can't do much street break in.

Didn't the new clutch have to be broken in 500 miles of easy driving or I guess wouldn't be practical for racing

There is NO POINT of that two step on a manual car. Those are so you don't load a converter too hard. You, have clutch. Hold the dam throttle
