New to BFS Fishing? Start Here! - Budget BFS/Bass Reel recommendations

Today we go look at a the best budget BFS reels that are available on Aliexpress so that you can target Bass, Trout, Perch and all the other predatory species on some great value for money gear. If you are new to BFS fishing (bait finesse system) and you don't know what the best reel and rod is for you then this channel is a great starting point. We will look at some favourites such as the Seasir Cast X, Soloking Acura, Kingdom Micro Monster, Tsurinoya Dark Wolf Ultra, Purelure Silver Feather and the Cormorant.

I think you’re spot on I have the soloking Acura and the bearking Zeus and both are very smooth and cast amazing I paired both with the jenko double down solid combination for sure

Bearking Zeus is an underrated reel. When it comes to a choice it often comes down to what it on sale at any given time.

Pure Lure has come out with a Silver Feather aluminum frame 60 Elite HG and XG version at 139 gms the spool weight has gone up by 0.7 gms with the bearing but the non bearing weight remains at 2.3 gms

Yes I'm sure it's good but for first time buyers at the price point I would buy the original otherwise I would have too many reels on the list

Purelure Silver Feather gang represent! I'm still curious on the cormorant and the Aurora... Overall nice picks, I still remeber the WK1000 days...

I wouldn’t do the Aurora. I’ve got two in and both were messed up out the box couldn’t do a video on it. I’ve used the king fisher and it slightly edges out the silver feather but at a higher cost.

I hear positive and negative things about the Aurora Air, some people love them, even someone I know with a Silver Feather. But the fact that the feedback is so varied can only mean one thing, the QC isnt as good.

@@yep.fishing I can tell you from the two I got in so far both had QC problems and both should have never been put in a box! I like the way they did the breaking system but on one of them they were falling out

Part of my suspects that people who are in love with the Aurora Air have a little bias to justify their purchase. I guess I will never truly know unless I buy one my self. Or perhaps Ricardo will?

That's a bit risky to be honest, unless you are trying them out of curiousity I would wait till we have more info on them. I get the feeling they might not be the absolute best value for money. Let me know how it goes though.

Its very intimidating with seeming 30 or 40 reels innour fsce to choose from when we first start. Resesrch is key!

I’m surprised you didn’t mention Kastking or the Arise Air. Histar basically just rebrands reels that are already in the market. Except the Aurora I’m still waiting on one to come in that isn’t messed up because I’ve got two so far and not able to do a video on either one and they’re not easy to deal with.

which kastking model? the zephyr? Also I wouldn't recommend paying 22% higher for the arise air over the Silver Feather when as far as I know the Silver Feather is a slightly better reel according to those with both.

@@yep.fishing not the zephyr! The Valiant eagle 2 is awesome but I think they’re trying to launch a new high end that’s the same thing but higher price. The Arise is cheaper usually but it has a much wider break range so it’s maybe not as user friendly but a very good reel and I like the blue.

Yea I definitely like the look of the Arise Air, the Valiant Eagle 2 was probably not far off being mentioned as its fairly close in performance to the Kestrel Elite. It's a bit of a forgotten about reel really and wasn't at the forefront of my mind.

@@yep.fishing the Arise is a Ark fishing “brother” reel and I know a lot of bass fishermen love that Ark BFS reel but it cost a lot more than the Arise but the Arise is very good and as for the Kastking I’m hoping they’re not trying to phase out the valiant eagle because they’re making that somewhat cheaper Kestrel because it’s the exact same thing as the Valiant Eagle just add 70$

That's the reel people were tricked into thinking was American? I think it said it on their website then they removed it.
