I'm so glad I stumbled on to your channel. You are a darling and I've already learned so much. I wore wigs 13 years ago after my hair stylist burned off my hair - negligence. It was horrible to go bald so suddenly and it was expensive. When my hair finally grew back (took a year+) I gave away my wigs and sold some. Didn't think I'd be back 13 yrs later. Now my hair loss is from regular injections I get in my eye to get from losing my sight. My hair texure has changed as well to babyduck down soft and now it's so thin I've given up. It's back to wigs and now on a tight budget. Problem is when I select the wig I want, I can't find them locally so have to risk buying on line without a color reference. I'm blond and blond wigs always seem so platinum which clash with my skin tone. Plus I'm super happy there are now LOW DENSITY wigs. Hoorah. And better lace fronts. Can you recommend a lightly rooted, low density, honey blond wig - length to my jaw or a bit longer. Noriko wigs are a little too big. Do you think Ellen Wille petite/average is a good start for those of us with petite to average size? I've been looking at LIA II by E Wille. I can't go much longer or thicker. don't like permtease. I'm a more mature petite woman so can't get a whole bushy set of hair, Do you actually sell wiggs too? Thank you so much Joy

That is so true. When my co- worker last weil saw me with my first piece for the first time she asked me what I had done with my hair. It would look so healthy. 😅 I was so delighted and happy. Of course I told her what is on my head and she was speechless. She told me that she could never imagine that a wig could look so natural. It is the same colour and same hairstyle I used to wear. I was relieved.

I actually did have someone at work ask me if I was wearing a wig when I was wearing one. I’m new to wearing wigs because of my hair loss so her comment made me feel very self conscious about the wig. I’m trying to overcome it but I’m struggling now wearing a wig to work. I still have to learn to own it and walk in confidence.

Thanks much for the tips and confidence! I’ve just realized this lately and revisited the wigs I bought last year (I’m new to wigs just wore one for occasions). So I said why not use them more like natural hair. And then I just bought another one in a blonde shade that I’ve been wanting to have but very difficult to achieve with real hair 😂 a few days ago and I’m excited to wear it on my next meet ups with friends ❤

I have a weird question, how do you explain to people in your life you have started wearing wigs? Like, unless you get one that’s exactly like your hair used to be, they will all know something is up. And if you change out which wig you wear often, won’t that be weird? Do you wear a different wig every day? Do people just get used to “that lady that has different hair all the time”. I am a teacher so it’s even harder to think about the kiddos all seeing my hair change.

Hey!! I know it seems intimidating, but there is really no magical way to explain it. It’s only weird if you make it weird. If you’re just like “hey, I wear wigs. It helps me with my confidence and makes me feel good. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have.” I was a teacher for 13 years! Just left teaching this year to work on Chiquel. My students LOVED that I switched up my hair and the staff thought it was so fun! I sent an email to parents at the start of the year to explain my situation so they knew I wasn’t someone different all the time. ❤️
