He wrote, “Perhaps John Duncan would not have had to put himself through the mental agony, had he seen that I had done the piece several years before…. A day has not gone by that I haven’t thought of the necrophilia piece” (Alex Grey, “More Sex with the Dead,” Wet, July-August 1981, n.p.). Keep in mind that there's no other accounts of this ever happening, nor any other further evidence - so take it with a grain of salt.

It seems they are playing a simplified version of Descending, so studio version might sound a lot better (although I agree it's awesome already) If you watch the version "A/Descending" that they had played in the past, you can see there's a lot more to the song than what they're now performing...

I discovered tool about 2 years ago but the only song I had listened to was Vicarious (I think it’s called) ever since then I’ve listened to as much as I can I even got Lateralus on vinyl. I am now wondering where would I go when this is released to buy the Vinyl and CD? I’ve been saving money to afford however much it costs and I’ve been so exited since I started getting deeply into Tool last year. They have been an inspiration in my own music as well. I can’t thank Tool and this channel enough jajaja. Thank you guys. And almost everyone in the Tool audience is very kind and friendly. Tool has the best audience I’ve ever encountered.

They clearly enjoy performing together. I think the question is how well do they still CREATE together. That's a different kind of tension. If they're old and mature enough to weather that storm well, it may not be. They toured on the same damn songs for how long now?! It must be refreshing to perform something new and be able to have your audience have to listen captively rather than predictably.
