I bought the Plug in C-HR in July and have driven 3000 miles at a fuel and home charge kWh cost of £128 which works out at about 4p mile v 2p for an EV and 10p mile for a normal Hybrid so at this rate it will be 50,000 miles before I get back the extra cost of the PHEV, but it is probable the car will be worth the £3,000 extra cost at disposal which I think makes it a good proposition so long as you charge at home off peak. It is difficult to quantify the value of a more rounded drive and the bit one is doing for the environment as well as one’s own self worth and the 10 year warranty on the car and 15 years on the battery What I can say is, it is a great car to drive as long as you accept it is a C-HR and not a GR Yaris, which I dream about owning the new automatic

The way you turn that steering wheel .its a wonder you don’t crash

Well, I now exactly were the line goes, so no need to worry 🙂. This is not a sportscar, but it did behave rather well and the steering kept up. I really let it have it all during steering, only modulating the throttle input to feel the very limit off exceeding understeer. As you can see. You can watch all other reviews and I think you will notice that it I'm a professional driver 💪. Thanks for watching 🙏

Is that 2.5 hour charge only from a wall box/public charger or is that the time charging from a home outlet?
@whatcarwhattime9 ай бұрын
Wherever you charge it as long as it gets 6,6 kW charge 🙂. Thanks for watching! 🙏

Is there really such a difference between the 234hp PHEV and the 194HP Hev? 1/9th more power does'nt sound dramatic.

Actually made a lot of difference, especially when hitting the roads with some incline. Thanks for watching 🙏

bro that's an SUV not meant to be sporty
@whatcarwhattime9 ай бұрын
I know, I know. But Toyota has said "no more boring cars to drive" and I always, whatever car I come across, test what sort of sporty side there might be to it. And this one, was actually really good. Great steering, brakes and that extra plug in power made it a lot of fun. Thanks for watching 🙏

it has enought power and its main theme is an suv thats sporty. the chr isnt any ordinary car it costs from 32k to 57k the fully loaded compares to a bmw x3 in terms of performance interior and style is a little bit better almost like an x4 but less power. the plug in doesnt do 0-100 in 7.4 but in real world condition ive done 6.8 which is better than any kia sportage, bmw x1, huyndai tyscon, and mercedes gla. it has a lot of technology and its only 57k at this point a tesla is cheaper but it doesnt carry the feeling of that car. if u compare to a touareg v6 that does 0-100 in 5.9 the chr feels pretty similar and aero considering the form factor of the car is pretty good and better than the touareg right now. it sits among the x2,x3 then base gle and glc, it also takes the place of the tiguan
