Bollox, - not a Jimny killer. Make a solid axle, leaf spring 4wd mini version of the 90's ln106 and they *might* have a look in on the Jimny. Anything else they're pissing in the wind. Toyota 4x4 lost its way after the 90's.

I say, it Needs a Diesel Engine and get rid of the hybrid option... but make the transmission 7 or 8 speed with a very powerful 1st and 2nd low gear.

Best car says they'll showcase it this year and production starts q1 next year... But it's specifically made for Asian market... Maybe it'll enter Europe but won't launch in north/south America... Toyota/Suzuki are sharing platform for Asia for years now but suzuki refused to share 5 door jimny ladder frame for toyota version.. So toyota is bringing their own... It competes with jimny and even jeep is trying to make mini wrangler...

Been pining for a SWB 70 for a long time in North America. The ones sold in other markets is perfect.thisnew mini one will likely be similar to the bigger brother, which also looks like a kids toy. Probably not going to be as study/durable as the SWB 70 series we've been seeing for over 30 years.

Why do you think the top trim expensive Toyota SUVs have a waiting list. Do you really think it’s the middle class that’s buying them? This new small Toyota SUV is a perfect SUV for the kids when they get their license.
